Beautiful instrument, and works perfectly. What more could you ask for

The instruments work well and after some fine tuning are surprisingly accurate. What’s more I love how I installed them in my boat, they look great. There’s only 2 problems, the color is much more red than cherry and not what I expected but I can live with it. The other problem (for me) is there’s no way to attach a screw to the bottom it just hangs on one at the top. For hanging in a home that’s not bad but for my application it needs to be more secure. Hoping I can adapt but for now I’m happy!

First of all, I need to apologize to Ambient Weather. I left a negative review because I believed the barometer was not working. The instructions should be more clear, they said the screw adjustment on the back should be turned only slightly to calibrate altitude and there is a caution about turning it too far to the left. When it arrived, the arrow was pointing straight down. I turned the screw to the right and hit a stop. I turned it to the left as much as I dared with the arrow not moving much off bottom center. Later I noticed the arrow had moved on its own. This time I cranked the screw a lot more and the arrow moved anywhere I wanted. I calibrated it and everything is now working. I'm keeping it. Thank you.

I bought this for at-home preparedness and for our home school. It's a sweet little weather station. The delivery person left it outside in my garage, so when I brought it inside the thermometer was reading nearly 90'. Over the past 20 minutes, it is slowly decreasing to the indoor temp. I am pleased to see the thermometer is working. My weather app on my phone states there may be severe thunderstorms tomorrow night. Currently, the barometer is showing the needle at the rainy picture. So if it rains tomorrow...this would be right-on. Lastly, the hygrometer (measures humidity) is reading about 46%. My digital hygrometer is reading 44%. Most impressive. What I found really great, though, is the full booklet of instructions and tips packaged with the station! It explained every dial and that you need to tap the barometer to get an accurate ready, which is true for all barometers! I gave the 4-star rating for accuracy, because it looks like it will be very accurate, but I have had it less than an hour. NOTE: If you are looking for brown or wood tone, this color is definitely red. It has look of dark red blood. I'm delighted with that though as it goes with my decor.
