DR-978 New Upgraded Dual Heating Hybrid Portable Infrared Space Heater, 1500W with Remote

I picked this small heater for a bedroom. All the reviews said it was a great little heater. And it's a very reasonable price. I like the Dr. Infrared brand, I've owned another model in the past and was satisfied with it. I especially liked this heater because it has a retro look. And it throws out more heat than expected. In conclusion, I can absolutely recommend this space heather without hesitation. It looks cool and puts out a lot of heat for it's size.

Great little heater. Perfect middle ground between the huge, wooden heaters that are so popular today but way too big for small spaces....and it throws WAay more heat that other cheap heaters that use the same amount of power. I'm back to get another one for another room. LOVE the remote control, so I can warm up my bathroom without getting out of bed in the AM ! Also love that the remote control does not need reliable household WiFi to work.

This little heater packs a lot of bang for the buck! During extreme cold in TX, we need supplemental heat in some areas with plumbing. This little heater not only keeps that small area warm but also stabilizes heat in the areas nearby. It is so quiet that I sometimes forget to shut it off! On those occasions, wecome home to a toasty-warm home. We have actually begun using it in that same area on chilly mornings too. The best part: we just got last month’s electric bill and this little baby didn’t cost a fortune to run. It is a total quality product that is made in the USA! Highly recommended!

It was helpful to get this as next day shipping while furnace was down. Sale Price was reasonable. I prefer it’s small footprint and look to the wood look cabinet designed one. It adequately heats my general living area and the fan is reasonably quiet at about 46 decibels up close and 35 decibels 9ft away( rated using an app on my phone). Cool to touch. Longevity TBD.

Works very well and heats my living room space quite well, better than the electric baseboard heater.

For those who don’t know, all outlet space heaters are capped to 1500w maximum in the US. None of them really differ from each other they all produce the same amount of heat. NORMAL space heaters you see heat the AIR via convection. They warm the air, the air warms you. THIS heater heats not only through convection but ALSO radiation which is the same heat you feel from a fire outdoors. Radiation directly heats YOU and your clothes and anything in-front of it. You will feel MUCH more heat from this than your average space heater. It’s worth the price with a solid name brand company who stands behind their products. 5/5

This is the best space heater, I have ever purchased. Does a excellent job of getting a 12'x12' room hot. It also keeps the rooms with cold air leaks (old buildings) warm. Having a thermostat and timer is a plus. For a heater there is hardly any noise.

Got on sale here for $85. Tested it in my bedroom next to my bed (about 4 ft away) set on high heat. Overall, it didn't push much heat set on High at 85 degrees. Let it run 12 hours and still didn't feel me or the room warm up. So going to return this because it doesn't put out that much heat. My $25 unit does more than this on heating up the room and warming me up. This unit is small and built cheap. Overall, it's noise is quiet, but can't tell if it's an energy efficient. I can't see paying more than $25 for this unit as it does the same or less then my other handheld portable heater.

Although I live in a condo building the central heating sometimes stops working. And I don’t like the dry air it pumps out. Also, once I caught a flu infection. Even though I hadn’t left the apartment in weeks. I believe the infection came from the heating vents. So I tried this heater. Easy to set up. Just plug it in. Use controls on the heater, or the remote control. Set the temperature you want for the room. It heats the room within 20 minutes. And keeps it at set temperature. Incredibly quiet. Beautiful looking. Compact. With tip-over protection. This is a 2 bedroom apartment. Within 24 hours the whole apartment was the same temperature. And it retains the humidity. No dry air. No cold areas. Can walk around in a T-shirt when it’s freezing outside. Very pleased with this purchase.Thank you Dr.Infrared, and Amazon.

El producto no pesa mucho y es pequeño, así que aunque no tenga rueditas, se puede transportar fácilmente, eso sí no tiene "agarradera", hay que cargarlo de los costados. Calienta bien un cuarto pequeño y no es muy ruidoso. La temperatura viene en Farenheit, pero nada que no se pueda resolver.

What a great space heater! It really cranks out some heat, yet the exterior doesn't get hot. I have been conserving energy in the evening by turning down the central heating and just using this space heater to heat the room. It does a phenomenal job. It's thermostat matches the temperature on the wall thermostat exactly. I'm really pleased I bought this.
