Works well for the money. Little tricky getting it connected first time.
I had difficulty getting the camera's wifi working the first time. After I figured out the correct procedure it works easily. Procedure I use: power up the camera, wait for its wifi to power up, with you phone or tablet connect to the wifi using the phones wifi settings, once connection is established and stable then and only then open the app. Also the pro app does not work for me, the basic app does. Also the "Bullseye Target Manager" app from GSM works with this camera!

Great Idea, But Poor Execution - Horrible Refresh Rate and Camera Resolution
I would not recommend this product for anything but range use, and only if you are sighting in at a long distance and taking minutes between shots due to the (sarcasm) blazing fast refresh rate. For the price I thought I would give this a try. I looked all over the specs from Amazon and the vendors product page. There is no mention of camera resolution. This is obviously left out for a reason, due to being so poor. I experienced no issues with the app crashing, or connection issues as mentioned by some other reviews. The battery life is also as advertised. My issue is using this as a way to not have my eye on the spotting scope for hours and being able to use a remote display. with how horribly slow the refresh rate is you will completely miss wildlife unless it just stops for 5 minutes within your field of view. Giving the camera time to transmit and app time to display the image and clean up all the image from the motion of something coming into view. Great Idea, but I would pay more for something with better resolution and at least a functional frame a second.

Great product
Overall, this is a great product and works very well for long range. This is with the unit attached to my bushnell spotting scope, which Iโd like to clarify so no one thinks this was on a $1000+ spotting scope, rather a budget friendly scope. In the attached video, the first target which were the swinging targets was at 220 yards. Second target ( circle with white center next to the bear) was at 550yds. The last target was a walking bear at 870 yards. The last clip was screen recorded with the app open, rather than video record with the app, so that way I could have sound. For all of these clips, my scope was at 20 magnification, and any shakiness was from the wind that came in. Threes and I only gave four stars, rather than five was because the field of view decreases with the attachment which sucks for sub 200 yards if your target area is large, but if youโre shooting a zeroing target, or shooting long range, this is perfect. The second reason for 4 stars is because this unit doesnโt record video with sound. If youโre only planning on using this for spotting shots or seeing groupings, then itโll be great. But if you want to have sound for your long shots you want videos of, Iโd suggest screen recording with your phones microphone on.

Worth the money
This works. My Android phone connected to the wireless signal from the camera and the app worked immediately. I used it on a cheap 60X scope purchased at Walmart and the picture was plenty clear enough to use at the 100 yard distance. The eyepiece clamp easily adjusts and fits tight to the scope. Controls are easy. The app is pretty basic but it works. One note - you need a very stable tripod or mount for the spotting scope you are using.

Works, but glitchy.
Works, but app is glitchy.

Worth every penny.....but be careful
I've seen a lot of bad reviews of this product but I saw it used by a person at my range and it worked terrific, so I bought one. I used mine with an Apple 13 phone and a Konus Spotting Scope. I had to call the Company to find out why my scope would not connect. Within the Spot Shot application I had to turn on the "Connect to Local Network" switch, then it worked. My experience is this is the best thing since sliced bread. The Spot Shot is connecting to your local Wifi, and then it actually turns into it's own wifie server and you connect your phone to the Spot Shot wifie. It's too bad it does not connect using Bluetooth. You must be near enough to some type of wireless network for this to work. It doesn't work without a wireless network to connect to. I suppose if you have a phone that can be used as a "hot spot" that should also work (but I have not tried this). I expect many people from my club will buy this. It is so much easier to look at my phone or an I pad than have to move to my spotting scope all the time. You should also have a good tripod for your spotting scope, it will make it easier to adjust your picture. Except for my little glitch with the software, I am very happy with this.

DO NOT BUY - DOES NOT WORK
In spite of reading reviews with problems, I figured that surely after 2 years the product had been fixed. Wrong. I turned the camera on, and then connected to its built-in WiFi network with my phone. When you launch the app, the app crashes immediately if your phone is connected to the camera's WiFi. The phone will only stay connected to the camera's WiFi for about 60 seconds. Then it reverts back to my home network. If you launch the app then, it doesn't crash, but then it can't connect to the camera, either, of course. I called GSM at the tech support number given. Sat on hold for 30 minutes and was transferred to another help line. Sat on hold there for 30 minutes to be told that was the wrong line and I needed to call the number I called to start with. They transferred me back and I sat on hold there for another 20 minutes. Total time on the phone was an hour and twenty minutes with only about 5 minutes actually talking to a person trying to solve the problem. Finally talked to a person and all they could tell me is that they have not updated their app. I asked, "Ever?" and she said she didn't know. I said, "Well, right now this product does not work. According to Amazon review, it has not worked for 2 years. When should I expect a fix?" She said, "I don't know, maybe a couple of weeks." Given how long it has been broken, I'm skeptical it will be fixed in "a couple of weeks". So, this product is completely non-functional out of the box. I tried it with both Apple and Android devices. It's a darn shame, because for the price point this is exactly the product I am looking for to enable seeing through my spotting scope without having to get up and look through it. I will be returning it. I'm very disappointed.

It works but not very well.
I put the SME Scope camera on my HD 20x60 - 80mm spotting scope. I turned it on and connected via the Wifi. It mounted very easily and that worked just fine. However, this item has a number of problems: 1) It reduces the spotting scope field of vision by less than 1/2 of what I see through the scope view finder. 2) The electronics are to slow, in picture mode the objects in view kept shifting and in video mode as I tried to slowly pan across what I was looking it at the camera couldn't keep up. 3) My Smart phone does a better job camera wise and it's much smaller, but it's takes about 5-10 minutes to get it mounted right. The SME Scope camera is much easier to mount, but the picture quality is terrible. This item has no auto focus or zoom which my smart phone does have which makes the phone produce better pictures. I do not recommend the SME Scope camera.
