how do i change the date and time?

Dear Friend, Thanks for your question for this dash cam front and rear. When you charge the dash cam with the car charge, it will auto recording, please press ok button to stop record. Then press menu button twice into tool menu, then press ok button to move, press up and down button to change the number. Besides, i have sent a video about how to set the date and time. Is the wire included with the rear camera?

The wire yes is included for rear Cmera

If the rear camera cable is connected to the front camera port, can i manually switch to the reversing assist mode?

Yes the rear camera plugs into the front camera. It has a long cable. There are different screens. You can have front view with rear in the corner, a split screen and I think you can put the rear camera on full screen. I use it with the front view with small screen in the corner. It does not have to be wired into the reverse light although that is an option.

Great kit in my van really pleased. I would like to extend the wire for the rear camera, any idea what I should buy? Micro usb extension?

If you already bought rear camera then you need to search for extension wire which should have an usb adopter on one end ( following what you have on the end of rear cam wire) and an usb on the other end which will be plugged in to front camera . Or If you haven't bought any rear camera then you need to search for extra long wired rear camera which should have same usb for plugged in to front camera . In that case you might need to check your vehicle's internal length before purchase . Thanks

As for the installation kit, it has everything you need and more. I give it four stars for the useless interface languages (Russian or Portuguese could have been replaced with Polish). The camera isn't mentioned in the description, and IT'S ONLY SUITABLE FOR SLOPED WINDOWS, and my truck has a flat windshield. Now I need to buy a mount for the rear camera with adjustable angle.
