i lost my original one so i bought this one, i also lost this one....

Sometimes you just can't get enough of these. It's great to have an extra one when you're trying to convert.

The adapter fits well on several different tools that I use. Tight fit, a little hard to remove, but I think that is a good thing, not a bad thing. If all of my adapters and sockets fit like this I would be even happier. The 1/4 bits also are a tight fit. All around great!!

Contrary to the item's description, this socket adapter does NOT have a quick release button. The bits are held in by a spring clip inside the adapter that puts pressure on the walls of the bit. A good whack will send the bit flying, and I can pull the bits out with my fingers without much effort at all, but it holds it well enough for normal tasks like working with the tool pointed downwards, etc. The nature of the design means the spring will wear out over time, and it'll have to be replaced, but the price reflects the somewhat 'disposable' nature of the tool. It'll do the job, but after seeing the lack of a positive lock (e.g. QR button, as described in the listing), I wish I had opted for a magnetic bit holder instead. Thinking this one had a solid lockup made me pick it up over the magnetic one I was originally going to purchase. The tool isn't important enough for me to go through the hassle of returning it, it's just another example of false advertising on Amazon.

This would’ve been a nice part to have earlier in my life! I have nice fancy 18v ratchets and sometimes you need to remove screws you can’t really get to with an impact driver. That’s where this comes in. Throw it on a ratchet and insert any of your screw bits. Love it.

Great for using bits on your 1/4 square drive, I use this for an adapter to use 1/4” hex bits on 1/4” drive ratchet.

If only I could find it....
