It holds 99.44% 😉 of 1 lb of whole beans. This does come with a little travel canister; you can throw the little extra beans in that if you're not able to use them for a cup of espresso/coffee right away. Definitely worth the price, and with the medium container it's still nice and compact.

Do you keep can in refrigerator?

Hi Lilly thanks for your question. I would advise against putting it in the refrigerator - not because of the canister but because the fridge is not a good environment for your coffee. Are these containers made in China?

The short answer is "yes", these are made in China. I love the first answer trying to be like Apple, in that the iphone is designed in CA, but made in China lol.

What is the advantage of your canisters over vacuume canisters?

The advantage for us is convenience, I have a vacuum canister, and found myself not taking the machine out to vac seal, it was a hassle. The reason I am sold on the Gator we can't tell the difference between vac seal and this. If your storing for extended periods of time then possibly the vac seal might be a better choice.
