I purchased this book to ship along with a Bible, a bookmark, and a prayer journal to send to my friend in India. Shipping it privately all together was going to cost over $200 so I was looking for a light, condensed, and reasonably priced devotional that had deeper, insightful, and scriptural readings that would make an impact. Not an easy task to my surprise. This book is very good. It's well written, with eloquent, nuanced, short lessons applied to scripture that uplifts and encourages a deeper walk with God in an easy, interesting format. It was appropriate for the beginner Christian but will still be valuable as she grows in God. My friend was thrilled. She begins her day with affirming, encouraging abbreviated devotions she incorporates into her Bible reading and it's a great aid in her spiritual walk.

Gave to a dear friend with a bunch of other goodies…candle, tea, teacup, etc. It’s great because each day has a scripture verse…not just someone else’s commentary on a verse.
