This is the way to go if you are tired of changing toilet fill valves. This also upgrades your standard toilet to a dual flush model saving you money.. easy to install and has provided great service. Have replaced all my fill valves with this. High quality, and fits MOST toilets.

Everything about this works great, just one detail to pick on. Where it goes into the big hole, very much wish there was a long cylindrical rubberized tube. Item is so light it had to be engineered to stay in place. Otherwise, very quiet, flushes extremely well, and very easy to use. Very sorry I bought a Home Depot, this really was that much better.

While it works well once installed, the instructions note that the fill valve height can be adjusted simply by turning the top of the unit clockwise a quarter turn while pressing on the refill valve (instruction #5). However, there is a catch/locking mechanism at the bottom that also has to be pressed/released so that the unit can freely turn. If this lock is not released, one might break the unit by applying too much twisting force. I had to take the unit out of the tank to figure this out after trying and failing when using just the "twist to adjust height" as per the instructions. This should be noted in the instructions but it is not.

Just installed 2 days ago. Louder when water fills than our old one. I can not see where it matters on the knob what you push, looks to do same amouint of water no matter what. Installation I could not do exaxtly what they said with the cap going all the way up to top, because then our lid would not go over, so I had to lower cap. It was pretty easy to put in and we will see how long this one lasts. So second day in middle of night son comes says mom something wrong with toilet been like this for 30 minutes. Go in and water leaking out and find fill valve is broken and when goes to stop, it doesn’t shut off water all the way and get air sound as well. See video for what it sound likes. Now today because it is middle of the night I have to go buy a new fill valve. This thing sucks. I bought two and will see if I can send the other one back.

**Long term update, Purchased Apr. 2014, Update Aug. 2019** Lowered to 3 stars. 1-2 years in, the silicone rubber parts developed air bubbles under the smooth skin. This causing water to leak into the bowl. I lanced the bubbles and cut away the loose skin and put it back together. This happened 2-3 times on each of the two units I purchased over the next 5 years. 2-4 years in, the cone shaped silicone rubber for the valve opening started to become more rigid. This caused the seal to fail and leaked water into the bowl. Once or twice a year I needed to re-seat it to get it to seal tight again. 4-present day, the sealing problem got worse and adjustments became more frequent. Today I spent an hour trying to re-adjust the seating but I couldn't get a leak proof seal again. I contacted the manufacturer to see if I can get replacement parts. Otherwise I would need to buy a whole new kit, throwing away so much working parts when I only need to replace a couple small parts. **Original review** Converted two toilets, a conventional low flow and a old high flow, both with angled flush valves. This kit comes with the new lever switch rather than the original push button. I've used the push button at other peoples homes and the lever is by far easier to use. If you have young kids this is a must, the push button version is very stiff and much harder for kids to use. The extra money for this kit with the Adjustable Fill Valve is worth the investment. With the old fill valve, the bowl would continue to overfill until the tank is refilled. But with the adjustable bowl refill valve, you can slow the rate down so that it stops refilling the bowl right when the tank is full, saves more water on top of the half flushing. This took about 4 trial flushes to get just the right amount to fill the bowl when the tank was full. On the low flow toilet it was an easy install and went smooth. With the angled flush valve it took some re-positioning to ensure it was evenly on without buckling. After adjusting everything there was a tiny leak I couldn't see but the new fill valve the kit comes with is much louder than normal fill valves so I heard it refilling when no one was using it. This is their "leak detection system." If there is a tiny leak in the seal, the fill valve will open when the tank gets low enough and you should be able to hear it. Pushed the dual flush assembly down just a bit more fixed the problem. The high flow installation was the same but adjusting the flush amounts took much more trials. I couldn't set it to use less water as the bowl could not completely empty without a good amount of water. Overall, I was able to save about 30% water compared to the full flush. And again the adjustable fill valve helped save even more. This kit is worth the time and money, 6 months after installation, we are seeing our water usage is down. Note: The makers website says "No tools required" but that depends on your old equipment. I had to cut off the nut holding the handle on the older toilet because it was corroded into one piece.

I just got it yesterday overnight and installed it right away. I watched a few YouTube videos and that helped alot. I also deained and cleaned out the tank the day before. The one video that helped me the most was done by a young Asian man. That being said the instructions are great and easy to follow. I would say it took me 45 minutes to install but I was going very slow and referencing the video and it was very easy. A 12 year old could do it so don't be afraid of that. It took a little fine tuning but it works perfectly on both settings. The video I posted is of the short flush and the recovery time. The full flush is stronger with 10 seconds or so more recovery time. Set up properly it only takes a quick press of the handle and it goes into action and works flawlessly. I already recommend it to a friend. Definitely worth the money and you will save more than the kit cost in no time here in Las Vegas were the water prices have went up 50% in the last 10 years.

Easy to install, Works great!

I have no idea what is the difference with the HYR270 aside from the flash switch. Very difficult to setup. I tried many times but there is always a leak since the rubber fit does not fit properly. I actually have to glue the rubber to the receiving hole. And made hude customize just to properly align and stabilize the device attaching to the tube. I glued it as well to make it steady.

Easy to install, low flush won’t work without holding the Handel. The full flush works perfectly. Did all the adjustment on bleue tab and green tab, nothing will make small flush works unless holding 3 to 4 seconds.

Been plumbing for near 40 yrs. Product is cleverly made, I was able to keep 2 - 30 yr old toilets that were in new condition ( but wasted a lot of water ) and make them very efficient. Glad we got the kit with the double flush handle rather than the push button flusher as the push button type would have been partially blocked by the toilet seat.. This kit comes with every thing you need and is simple to make your water flushing adjustments

I purchased two of these units. One installed fine and is working well. The other one had a continual leak. I contacted the manufacturer and was assured that they would send a replacement. Here I am 3 months and several reminders to them later, and nothing. Very disappointed in the customer service. Like I said, the units themselves are hit and miss. In my experience, 50% of them have problems.

Installed it today, March 2018, and it went in surprisingly easy. Works great as it only uses half a tank for the light flush. Will see how it lasts. [Update July 2020] Took a star off because the large valve that lets the water into the bowl at the bottom started to leak very slowly. Took it out completely and siliconed the top side of the valve and it stopped. I also added a bead of silicon around the gasket that sits on the toilet flapper valve ring but I don’t think that was the problem. I think the rubber valve material had started to stiffen slightly with age.
