How high will can it be placed? I want to have it above my 27” iMac.

This is not tall enough to get over the iMac, it barely makes it over my 15” MBP and 24” mounted monitor.

On the bottom of the desk, how much space does the clamp need? My table has an "apron" about 1.5" from the edge.
