How do you select the different options? Like sleep time and dpi.

Hi the DPI is selected using the little button behind the SCROLL wheel (it cycles through the options) The mouse times out all by itself or you can switch it off using the slide switch underneath near the front of the mouse

Why has this stopped working after only being a few months old???

Mine stopped after about 18 months so I guess you are unlucky as I am.

If you don't touch this mouse for 2mins(or longer), is there a delay before the cursor on-screen moves again, or is it instant?

Actually I had not tried your option, so on reading your question I tried to disconnect the Bluetooth device and use the wire, unfortunately this does not work. But to be honest with you this mouse comes equipped with the Bluetooth nano receiver, and its slicker to use it wirelessly than use the cumbersome wire. That is the whole point of using the wireless Mouse.
