Pretty good VTX.
I bought this for a tinyhawk freestyle drone and it's pretty good. It does heat up when it's in use, but if you insulate it, the heat shouldn't be a problem, and it has a SD Card slot so you can record right from your quad

It didn’t turn on
It was dead on arrival I ordered one more willing to give it another try. One thing about it is it’s pretty simple to wire up. I just hope this is not a quality control issues.

Put it on my Sailfly X
Put it on my Sailfly X. Took a couple of extra standoffs to lift it up off the FC, but now I get much better picture in my goggles, AND 720p DVR from the quad. Well worth it! And the little bit of extra weight wasn't even noticable!

they just stopped recording
I had 2 just stop recording. One of them just stopped while I was out flying, no crashes or anything that day. I took off and it was recording and when it got back it wasn't, sd card still had 50+gb on it so it wasn't full. The other one the red light doesn't even light up anymore. I can still get video through both but neither records, makes no sense. One of them was only used for like 2 days

This thing works good but is small so it gets hot so you need to make sure it gets good air. Flow. Records Video well. Needs a microphone. Didn’t like the hardware it came with. Had rubber grommets, not standoffs. Had it installed on my son’s Redcat Blackout XTE RC car.

Fantastic Value
When regarding such small drones, weight AND size are an issue. Usually, to get a VTX *and* a DVR into one of these drones, you need 2 different pieces of equipment and at least one of them doesn't fit elegantly into the stack. This VTX / DVR combo does BOTH and does them well! Not only do you get dual functionality of both Video Transmitter and DVR, but you get a 200mw 40ch channel transmitter with a 720p upscaled DVR. The DVR records before OSD is overlayed (so your OSD doesn't show up in the recording), and because it's recorded pre-transmission you don't get any breakup. To top it all off, the recording is recorded at 720p and looks REALLY good! What a great value!
