Easy to install!
This lock was very easy to install. The App was easy to navigate. It works perfectly the first try. I personally like the smaller number pad on the outside of the door. My wife liked the size of the lever on the inside of the door. She said it made it easier to grab onto and lock the door. I recommend this lock.

App will not work when away from the property
This was extremely disappointing for a couple of reasons, the biggest being that the app will not work unless you are physically at the property. I installed this for a vacation rental and wanted the ability to unlock the door remotely as well as setup a code for each guest. I just get a message that it will not connect. The second disappointing feature is that the schedule feature will not allow you to give access at different start and end times. For example, I would like to set it so a guest could use the code beginning Wednesday at 3 pm until Friday at 10 am. It will not allow this. It will only do from Wednesday at 3 pm til Friday at 3 pm. You have to choose the same time for each day. This is dumb and frustrating. Updates: customer service contacted me and offered to help after seeing my negative review. Initially they told me to change the batteries although I knew it wasn’t the problem bc the batteries were less than a month old. Then they wanted me to reset the unit. I couldn’t get a pen to go into the hole and they told me I needed to get a paper clip and do that and it would solve the problem. It did not. So I reached out again. The guy said it was working fine and it was just my Bluetooth which again made no sense. It was working while I was in the house so the guy said it was fixed but as soon as I left the property I couldn’t access it again. Through multiple emails over time, one of the reps finally discovered the bridge which was brand new was on an old code or something and changed that and fixed the issue. Now I can access it remotely. Still can’t set days / times as desired but at least I can control it when I’m away. So I changed it from 3 stars to 4 stars in light of this help they gave me although it was a frustrating process to get them to actually fix the issue. I’m happy they stuck with it though.

Absolutely PHENOMENAL product and customer service
If you're having issues with your lock don't immediately get angry or return it or write off the company. Reach out to their customer service! Even if it's been months since you purchased it. All of their products come with warranties varying from 6 months to multiple years. You can find out what kind of warranty and how long you have by going to their website. Our lock was almost a year old and the gear mechanism inside that turns the deadbolt, stopped engaging with the deadbolt gear. So the lock just would not lock on its own no matter what I tried. I thought I was SOL and had to buy a new lock because it had been more than 60 days since I purchased it from Amazon. But I decided to reach out to their customer service, found out I had a warranty, and thought "cool maybe they can at least troubleshoot it". But, they did way more than that! I'm pretty sure my warranty was limited, but they didn't make me jump through any hoops, They only asked I do a few trouble shooting steps, and it only took 2 email replies For them to determine That I was eligible for a full brand new replacement. they quickly shipped out an entirely new lock, every last piece of one. I offered to send back the original and they told me not to worry about it. The were super responsive, super kind, super helpful, super amazing!! I could go on and on. The lock itself works phenomenal also. I don't have a bridge so it never seems to integrate with alexa, but the app rarely lags when I use it, I cab lock my doors from 100 or more ft away from the house, and the keypad lights up which is double awesome. The materials are well made and durable and just all around amazing. Thanks you ultraloq!

Best Schlage alternative at half the price
I had been looking for a smartlock that did have "too many" methods of opening making it more vulnerable. The U-Bolt was a good compromise and if you want an ANSI grade 1 deadbolt you really have very few options. I was skeptical about the exterior button pattern but it's easy enough to navigate. The manual knob turns very smoothly and feels very sturdy. The electronics have worked perfectly with one caveat which I will detail down below: The after about a year the interior section failed to power on ever after replacing the batteries. I believe this was from the auto-locking feature getting stuck and burning itself out. (Note: even in a no-power state it still operated as a "dumb" lock maintaining my security.) I contacted U-Tec and worked though the troubleshooting steps and after confirming that the device had indeed failed, they sent me a new interior mechanism. Once replaced it returned to working perfectly again. Would recommend.

Perfect fit on my door
Easy to install and programming the app on my phone. I was concerned it would not fit over my lower door lock but it was a perfect fit.

On August 8 2024 I purchased the ULTRALOQ U-Bolt Smart Lock, 5-in-1 Keyless Entry Door Lock with App Control, Keypad Deadbolt, Auto Unlock, Auto Lock, Smart Door Lock, Smart Locks for Front Door, ANSI Grade 1, Black, doesn’t have the fingerprint feature and though I certainly know how to install, but I’m on disability and I have a very bad back and I just can’t do those things anymore and I couldn’t get anyone over here to install it for me so on November 8, 2024 I purchased the much more expensive one that has the fingerprint in the center of the lock and it took many months for me to get my brother cause he’s very busy to come over and install it for me, but he finally did it and it lasted less than six months I could turn the knob to lock and unlock it, and I changed the batteries and I tried to see if I can clean positive and negative terminals inside anyway they weren’t dirty. It was like brand new in there so I changed the batteries about three times and got the same results. The keypad stopped working and like I said I could manually lock it and I hate giving the keys to my son and my wife so I didn’t even have to get in keypad if you pushed on it it seemed like it was pushing into the inner side of the housing, but nothing worked. The only thing that worked is after a minute or two minutes whatever it is, it would try to lock itself, but the red light would come on, and it would beep and that’s all I got. I spent all that money just because I wanted that one feature and it lasted six months. I’m very disappointed to say the least I did have my brother come out and switch the other brand new lock that I mentioned above into it and so far it’s worked, but it’s depressing every time I go in and out the door because I spent over $170 to upgrade and it wasn’t even six months. I know I said it was six months but it wasn’t. I could’ve sworn I bought a warranty from Allstate off of Amazon, but I just can’t find it so I’m screwed. I can’t make them replace it. They’re gonna do whatever they’re gonna do probably won’t be if they’re like most companies then again I’ve had some companies surprise me as soon as they saw my post. They contact me immediately and sent me a new one, but I’ve had a lot more disappointments than I’ve had surprises about a lot of electronics. I mean just with this company inside of a month about two locks I spent $50 on that plug-in bridge and I feel so sick about it. I honestly just wanna buy another lock take that one out of my door and throw it out in the road shouldn’t spend your money to upgrade and then it breaks down. I sent him my email when it happened, but I never heard back so I’ll just go with the assumption they don’t care I would rather keep my money and make it right anyway I wasn’t doing anything this morning so I decided I would finally post this First off I have to contact my brother and find out what he did with the device but he probably put it out in the garage somewhere somewhere. I don’t know.
