Bridge keyboard for iPad pro
Very strong item that works well. Simple connection, fitting does not damage screen, illuminated keys are a blessing.

You get what you pay for
What can I say? This is by far the best keyboard available for my iPad Pro. Everything about the keyboard oozes class. Well made and built. All I need now is a decent mouse and I’m all set.

Not great for the price
First of all, if there were half stars in Amazon reviews I’d probably give this a 3.5, but overall it comes closer to a 3 than a 4 star product. I am actually typing this review on the keyboard itself and the experience just isn’t good enough. Here ate pros and cons: Pros: - it’s a sturdy keyboard which - when attached to the ipad - gives it a proper laptop-y feel - it connects fast via bluetooth - the battery is durable, but nowhere near as durable as advertised - it has a pleasant feel to the buttons, if you like compact keyboards Cons: - if this keyboard was half the price I probably would be giving it 4-5 stars, but it’s just too expensive for all the glitches it has - a lot of the time it randomly disconnects / does not work with certain apps - couple of examples: sometimes when you split the screen / use two apps side by side the keyboard stops working in one or both of the apps. Also it doesn’t perform basic functions in common business apps - i.e. in Powerpoint the arrow keys don’t turn pages. When using Amazon Prime to watch videos - the keys are supposed to work to pause/play content but 80% of the time they don’t. Etc, etc... - I’ve had it for a couple of months now and the rubber on the hinges where you attach the ipad is already wearing off, so it’s not very durable - attaching and detaching the ipad is a bit fiddly - finally, it’s supposed to come with a back cover for the ipad, but the one that fits the new ipad pro 2020 was not available at the time of purchase and still has not been made available two months later which is not great customer service and a bit misleading Overall, the quality and functionality just aren’t good enough for the price so I would either invest a bit more and get an Apple or other higher-quality manufacturer keyboard or look for a cheap and cheerful option as I would expect it to provide the same capabilities for a lower price

After 4 months of use I came back to write a review. Really would like to give it a 4.5 star, the only downside is the weight, but, since it needs the weight to hold the iPad straight for a decent viewing angle, can not complain anymore. What I found surprising is the keyboard, I own/owned many laptops (Macbooks, Thinkpads, LGs, Asus), the keyboard is really good comparing to other laptop, if not, on par with Thinkpads, definitely better than the MacBook Pro low key travel keyboard. Initially I thought it won’t be as good as the previous gen Macbooks, until I found the old Macs and gave it a try, it’s even better than the old MacBook Pro!

Bravo.

I’ve had the Brydge Pro for about 2-3 weeks now. I Really like the keyboard and it really turns the iPad into a MacBook like feel. The appearance is really nice and the added weight is expected with a premium style keyboard. I do have a few issues with it though. Upon receiving the keyboard, I had to remove my tempered glass screen protector in order to even use the keyboard. It was such a tight fit with the protector on the ipad wouldn’t seat correctly in the hinges. I contacted Brydge about this and I was told that i could purchase they’re $29.99 screen protector that is “guaranteed” to work. So much for the $20 screen protectors I paid for prior to this purchase. I feel like that should be included with they keyboard at the price point you pay for it. I have not been able to get the Brydge to come up to a full 100% charge even after charging the full 8 hours upon initial use. I’ve gotten as high as 98% and currently it’s at 95% while on the charger as I’m typing this. There’s also some type of black spots as shown in the picture that are on the keyboard. I’m sure it’s just some sort of mass production mishap that doesn’t affect the functionality. You can barely see it but it does take away some cool points for not catching this type of thing in QA. I haven’t tried the usb mode but I’m sure it works just fine. The hinges are very well made and can support the weight of the iPad in most positions until it gets to far back without your hands resting on the keyboard. The rubber feet on bottom are very good at keeping the unit stable on any surface. Brydge did a really great job in designing this unit. I would recommend a second or third generation with trackpad support since the iPad OS is capable of mouse support now. That would be awesome. Other than that, I love my new keyboard!!

I am a writer and loved the portability and sturdiness of the keyboard until, about six months after I bought it, it began deconstructing before my eyes! One by one, the rubber pads started coming off the bottom. Then, a week ago, I discovered the cover to the function key had mysteriously popped off and disappeared! I am hoping Brydge will replace these items before I get on a plane in September.

If you’re familiar with the older model, you’ll know that the latches that hold the iPad in place were always a problem. Well, Brydge has fixed that. The new design is amazing and using the keyboard is a breeze. I’m loving it. The functionality it lends to the iPad cannot be beat. The weight is substantial and not flimsy, which is probably why it’s so durable. If you’re not familiar with Brydge, they last a long long time.
