FolkArt acrylic paints are fantastic! The colors are rich, vibrant, and apply so smoothly on any surface. They dry to a beautiful matte finish and blend easily, making them perfect for both beginners and professionals. A must-have for every artist!

I'm used to using more expensive, artist quality acrylic paints, so I went into this brand that dubbed itself "folk art" with a high degree of skepticism. I'm happy to say I was pleasantly surprised. The pigmentation is very strong - nice and dense. This made mixing colors easy and effective. The opacity is also very good. Even colors like yellow, that are typically pretty translucent in most brands was much better than I was expecting. They dry quickly, which is good or bad, depending on what you're using them for. I was using it to paint polymer clay, so drying quick was a plus for me. I don't think they will replace my more expensive acrylic paints, but I'll definitely be buying more of them in the future. I'd definitely recommend this set as a good starter set, too. In addition to the primary colors and basic neutrals you need to get started, it also has some great secondary and tertiary colors to save you from wasting paint trying to get to the color you want. I think this would be a nice addition to anyone's home studio.

I have used FolK Art paint for years and have always been super pleased. The paint has a huge assortment of bright and deep colors and spreads smoothly. It washes up well and dries quickly so I can use and extender with it if needed. It has always been my first choice of acrylic paint.

I've tried so many different paints on my crafts looking for great coverage in as few coats as possible. These FolkArt paints do a great job of covering, even the white and the lighter colors. The paints are easy to dispense from the bottle, the paint spreads easily, and brushes and hands are easy to clean up with water afterwards. The colors are gorgeous and the cost is very economical considering it only takes two coats to get great coverage. I would highly recommend this FolkArt set of 18 colors Acrylic paints.

I use these paints for unfinished wood crafts. After a lot of experimentation I've settled on priming and sealing the surface with paint, mod podge, or acrylic gesso (aka medium). These paints make a good quality undercoat for the more expensive metallic and pearls. Exact shade isn't critical so this set is perfect - especially at this price! Cheaper than the larger set.

I bought these to use for nail art because acrylic paint doesn't dry as fast and you can take your time for POLISH designs. They lasted about 2 years before some of the bottles started drying up.

I purchased this for warhammer miniatures. It is excellent paint for that purpose though the label does not put that out there. The Matte is a flat color as you would want. Sometimes Matte can be in a range of glossy, this is not. Perfect. The price is an excellent value, bravo.

I paint a lot, have my entire life and I love these paints! They are my go to acrylics now.

Wonderful colour

No wonder folk art colors are nice. The best part is when u take some colors in the tray, even if it is acrylic it does not dries for a long time. You can take your time for painting with patience. The texture is smooth, the quality is awesome, like some other colors these colors are not at all itchy if stuck in nails while painting.
