By Neil Strauss (Author) (Paperback) Review: Great read! - Great storytelling in this book. Makes you feel like you’re there experiencing everything first hand. May not be as relevant in today’s society but nonetheless a great read! Review: Excellent book, honest look of what it means to be a man - I read this book more than 10 years ago. At the time I was living in hell, married to a beautiful woman who was not good to me. Divorce by text, living in a home with extremely low value and a social circle that collapsed....I felt ashamed I felt broken and more than anything I felt lost. What I was suffering from was depression. Listening to this book and hearing mystery go through his ups and downs I see a mirror of the depression and sense of loss I felt and still do to this day. The media and medical science treat depression in men as a joke as a sign of lack of moral strength or lack of grit or basically that you are a pathetic failure. This book other than being a great story and possibly of some value in teaching some to engage women depics describes and demonstrates that we men can and do suffer from depression. We don't have a deep social circle, we sadly don't have much outside of work, our titles and if we can "score " so when things go south many of us don't even have a family to reach out to for help. Therapy? Maybe....didn't work for me. Maybe because I'm a failure according to the world. Excellent book extremely helpful and well written. Hug your friends love them support them because not too far under the surface....may be deep sadness...

I read this book and now I can talk to women without sweating through my shirt!
Okay, so I picked up The Game thinking it was going to be a goofy, over-the-top guide for guys who wear too much cologne and say things like “let’s bounce.” And… it kind of is. But it’s also weirdly fascinating, occasionally insightful, and honestly, way more entertaining than I expected. Neil Strauss basically dives into this underground world of pickup artists like he’s doing undercover journalism for GQ meets Reddit. He starts off as this shy, nerdy writer and ends up as “Style,” a guy who can apparently hypnotize women with a well-timed compliment and a velvet blazer. The book is part memoir, part cautionary tale, and part “what did I just read?” I laughed a lot, cringed even more, and at one point had to put it down just to process the fact that someone named “Mystery” is considered a guru in this world. But here’s the thing: beneath all the absurdity, there’s a real story about identity, insecurity, and the weird ways people try to find connection. It’s not just about picking up women—it’s about figuring out who you are when you’re trying way too hard to be someone else. Would I recommend it? Yeah, if you’re curious, open-minded, and okay with occasionally yelling “NOOOO” at the page. Just don’t try any of the moves in real life unless you’re also wearing goggles and a top hat ironically.

Book itself excellent, print is way to small though
The book itself is excellent but the text/font itself is very small & hard to read while I have good eyesight!

They should give this guy a medal for telling people how to get women
This guy is the man he actually really tells you how to pick up women I practice what he says every day.

great book
Goes to show how the outter, the 'skins' affect persnality. good read from psychological, and social norms pov's as well... not only dating. But no matter how much you pretend you are what you aren't it is only short term. So good for one night stands and horny encounters. It also seems to me that most of the women they pray on, are looking forward to believing the charade. (except for those times they went for gullible, sweet things.)

Says its new but marks on a few pages says otherwise. Other than that its a book with words on every page 🤷♂️ not much else to say
