Felt improvident the next day
So there aren't any real directions with this table. My back is a POS, and I was told ten years ago I should get pins, rods, and screws in my lower back. Um no thanks. So I have delt with this POS back of mine. Especially my lower back. I felt relief and improvement the very next day after proper use. Key thing is "proper use". After I figured out how to use it properly I felt relief. Do not stretch your back for more that 15-30 seconds. I made the mistake of holding pressure for ten minutes. That was dumb. I couldn't get off the floor without help. I could barely walk after I got help up. Then next day I was fine but pulled my back and well....FML I didn't use this table for two months after that. After extensive research, I found the correct way to use this device. First of all. Never use pressure more than half your weight. But at first start off light and work your way up. Start at 20-40 lbs psi. After a couple weeks go up another 20 psi. Listen to your back. Strap yourself in and pump it to the desired pressure and hold it for about 15-30 second max. Then release the pressure for the same amount of time or maybe even a little more. So like 30-45 seconds of no pressure. Then repeat. For the first week I would recommend no more than 10 minutes and increase your time by five minutes each week until you reach 30 minutes max. 20 years I've had a POS back and this is the only thing that has helped. I tried the inversion table and it became a paper weight. It just wasn't for me. I love this thing. I use it five times a week. Consistency is key. Doing it once every now and again is not going to give long lasting results. I've been using this for a couple of months now, and I see myself using this for the rest of my life. If your back is prone to being pulled, I highly recommend stretching first. I do about ten minutes of yoga first. If I don't stretch first, I will mostly likely pull my back the next day. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Defective unit(s)
The unit was defective right out of the box. The pump would not hold pressure, and you could hear air leaking from the release valve. I’m returning it for an exchange and will update my review once I receive the replacement. I also noticed another review mentioning the same issue, which makes me a bit skeptical. I hope it’s just a fluke and not a systemic problem. It’s also very strange that an exchange is not offered—you have to return it, get your money back, and then reorder. ***UPDATE – February 21, 2026*** I received my second unit today, and it is also defective. As other reviews have mentioned, the rivets that hold the side rail to the unit were missing, and the side rail was completely detached. That rail is extremely important because it is the “track” the unit slides back and forth on. Receiving two defective units back to back is not a coincidence. This thing is absolute junk. For almost $700, anyone would expect more. I will not be ordering a third unit. I’m going to try the competitor and the original lumbar traction device by Saunders instead. Severely disappointed. I can’t believe Amazon allows this junk to be sold—it’s borderline a scam. Lastly, the gauge is very small and hard to read, especially for an older person. From what I can tell online, the Saunders unit has a large, easily readable gauge. I hope I have better luck with that brand. Your terrible ComforTrac. Completely wasted by time and money. I could have been in process of healing my back instead I am dealing with multiple returns.

Works like a Charm..!!
I’ve had the ComforTrac for over 4 years and never wrote a review until now. Thought I would seeing how unfortunately a number of people have apparently not had a positive experience. I never had any of the mechanical or pump problems that some seem to have. I’ve used it many times for a degenerative disc condition and it works great in relieving pressure I can experience in my spine.

Great redesign but poor parts used
Better design then older models but poor quality parts used. Cheap riverts that hold the frame keep popping out. No self return like the older model.

Great product. Easy to use!
I purchased the Comfortrac lumbar traction, and I must say this product is amazing. For many years I have suffered from herniated discs and general back pain, followed my 3 surgeries. I have tried everything from heat, massage, medications etc. but none of it really helped. When I went to the chiropractor, he provided decompression in his office, which worked well but was expensive! He recommended for me to try the Comfortrac device so I could get the same results at home. It is better than I ever expected. It’s easy to use and gives my lower back relief for long periods of time. I use it twice a day and no longer take medication. It is as good If not better than the decompression table at my Dr.s office. It is easily stored under my bed, and when I use it I simply lay on the device and start my therapy. Works great! Definitely worth the money.

STAY AWAY! BROKE AFTER 2 MONTHS
STAY AWAY! After 2 months of use, the air cable came undone and it leaks air with no pressure taking place anymore. I have now a $600+ table that doesn't do anything. Very expensive mistake, would definitely recommend to look for a different item.

Seriously the Best investment in my life!
Im a 28 yr old young adult. And I was diagnosed herniated disc in L4/L5. Did physical therapies, acupuncture, chiropractic, traditional Chinese tui na, etc. Tried everything before I bought this and nothing really worked. If it worked, usually it wouldn’t last long and the shooting pain in my right leg came back. 3 Orthopedic doctors suggested me to get surgeries but I did it want it. I told my self there gotta be a way to slow down and improve quality of my life. Until I found this treasure, after using this for a week, my low back pain has gone 80% and no more numbness and shooting pain in my leg which I could not ask for more. It’s a device that you will not regret invest on it. Make sure you use heating pad for like 10 mins before using this traction device, just to get the area relaxed and better circulation. Highly recommended for those who constantly suffer from low back pain.

Overpriced piece of "furniture" for your home
Hubby swears by the cervical traction, so I had very high hopes this would help with my chronic degenerative back issues. It was too hard to strap into by myself. Without any padding, it hurt so much. Think twice before buying this drastically overpriced piece of "furniture" for your home. As others said, it does not return to the "neutral" position well. This is certainly not worth the $$$.

Outstanding quality, well worth the money if you have back issues
I have a L5, S1 disc bulge. This has helped me so much where I find it's best to use when you have warm muscles hence I use it after having a shower. My Chiro said it also stretches the muscles, so if you have tight back muscles like I usually do, it will stop your back muscles from becoming tight and causing back pain. I used to get a massage every 2-4 weeks but I have stopped since using this device. It mainly decompresses the spine where I've been using a device like this with my Chiro. His is way more expensive where I lay on a bed, and I'm hooked up to a machine that pulls then releases. The quality of this product is excellent. It feels very expensive with solid parts. I know I will continue to have back issues later cause I'm getting old, but I'm glad I have something that excellent quality hence it should last a long time.
