Can This be used to between the anchor and anchor line for anchoring off shore when fishing?

suggest use between your boat and a line to the shore. It can then be used to take the boat our a little from the surf line.

Can this bungee be used for the main anchor, or should the main anchor always use a regular solid nylon line?

This bungee rope is quite strong and in my opinion will handle boats up to 23 feet. Keep in mind that the bungee anchor point is off shore, while the rope on the other end of the boat is tied to a point on the shore. Because the bungee line stretches, it removes the shock force that a solid rope would take, reducing the chance of snapping the rope. This is a great item for anchoring a boat off shore. I have used this product for three years with good results.

will this or a couple of these together work on a larger 15 to 20,000lb boat?

I would not advise using it in on that large of a craft. Or in windy situations with waves over 4'. They are designed more as a convenience to keep the boat away from shore until you want to board it. It is more for use with a craft such as a Ski Boat or runabout (under 25' or under 5000lbs. ) . I wouldn't use it in a storm either as the wind against the craft would tend to extend the bungee to it's extents and the boat would drift as far as the bungees allows.
