Not perfect, but great–read for important tips
This has been great for me. I ran into some physical issues that caused me to have to completely relearn shooting from scratch. This lets me easily put up 400 shots in under an hour. If they are all "threes", which take longer to retrieve the ball, about 56 minutes, less time for shorter shots. But I have tips for getting the most out of this device, and fixing some shortcomings (be sure to see my photos): 1. The first thing you'll notice is that although it's nice for the return angle to be adjustable, after a while it will start walking to a different angle. Once it does, it keeps going, and you need to get on a ladder to turn it back. So, I used zip ties to lock it to returning straight forward. 2. While it's not a problem to put the clips on the rim itself, I found it better to clip them to the rings that hold the net, on the underside of the rim. Also, the clips tend to pop off in either location, requiring another ladder visit, so I use zip ties to secure them so they don't move so easily. Be sure to lap the strap over (not under) the rear rim supports, in order to lean the clips forward, and not backward where they can pop off easier. You can use additional zip ties to clip the straps to those supports. 3. I've had it up for about 16 months. Just after a year, the stitching on the straps gave out at the bottom, one by one. The straps and stitching get weathered and stiff, and will eventually fail. I've been able to get more life by punching a hole (I actually nibble the hole with sharp wire cutters), then thread zip ties through to re-attach the straps. I also used zip ties to strengthen the connection between the two halves of the chute, to ensure it lasts longer.

Spray cooking oil when assembling
Second one we’ve had. First just got weathered. Works great and the kids have a blast. Do yourself a favor and spray cooking oil on it when trying to put it all together. Trust me it helps!

Works well but needs a simple mod to make it perfect.
I've been looking for something like this to put on our backyard hoop. We wanted something that can rotate to any angle we want to practice with our shots from different spots. I've posted a video just to show exactly how it performed. I was shooting from about 10-12ft away and as you can see the ball gets back to me consistently - the bounce depends on how you hit your shot. For the most part, the ball would return to you on "lucky bounces" a little slower compared to when you hit nothing but net. Overall I'm quite happy that I don't have to run after the ball every shot. Why the 4 stars? Well, the more you shoot, you'll notice it will start shifting to another angle and soon enough you would need to straighten it back again. This didn't really show on the video but trust me, it does. One quick solution I came up with was to put a metal clip to "lock" the ball return in place - however, I'm sure there are other ways to lock this in place - but I found this the quickest way. I've had this for almost a whole month and have used it almost daily and it seems to be holding up quite well. The only time one of the hooks came off the rim was when my kids were playing and they were consistently hitting the ball return directly with their shots (air ball) - I figure if you're not doing that, this should last a fairly long time.

Great gift idea
We bought this for my grandson to use on his basketball net in his driveway. It is a nice product a bit flimsy, but it retrieves the ball in the direction you turned, which helps him a lot with all the practicing he does.

Does the job. Clips fall off.
This is functional as a rebounder. Two problems though. 1. The clips fall off easily. I drilled a small hole through the two front clips and zip tied them to the rim. 2. It is meant to be able to adjust the angle which dishes the ball back to you. Unfortunately, it moves on its own as you are shooting and then does not send the ball back at the correct angle. To fix this I added a small screw to keep if from moving at all. Probably would not purchase again.

Good value tool
I have three budding basketball players in the family. The SKLZ attachment quickly and easily attaches to the rim and when a shot is made, directs the ball back to the shooter. On an open court, this reduces the number of times a ball has to be chased down as it controls and directs the ball towards the shooter. Not needed for casual play, but good for dedicated practice.

It broke after 10-15 practices, sending it back
UPDATE JAN 28 Unfortunately it finally broke. The plastic hooks that attach to the rim was expending and getting loose. I used a velcro tape to secure them. But the force and pressure from each shot gets in is way too much. Imagine making 500 shots a practice. Tens of pounds of force each time. It was inevitable to break. Sadly returning it back. While it lasted, I really benefited from it. ------- UPDATE JAN 13: Bought this 2 inch wide velcro tape which solved my problem 100%. Securing the back two hooks with these. No more popping off the hooks. I also use vegetable velcro tape to secure the shute so it doesn't rotate. But I like the arbitrary rotation too. It depends on what you need on your exercise routine. YMCRLUX 2"x16ft Reusable Cinch... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B7XSKSVP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share ---------------------- Original review: Just used it for about two hours. It is way more functional than I had expected. It quadrupled my total shot volume. Free throws work perfectly, mostly comes right back to my hand, or take a step or two to get the ball. Three point shots where the problems start to occur. Surprisingly it also rebounds very well. Doesn't always comes outside the arc, but comes around the 17-18 ft diameter, which is great. Problem is the hooks come off easily when you shoot three pointers. Especially when you make swooshes, it is a lot of force on the plastic enclosure. I suspect it will break off sooner than later. It seems very good for a 15 ft simple free throw practice, but once you circle out, it starts to pop off. It also rotates after a few shots, especially when you make your shots. Better shooter you are, sooner you start to have issues. I can't rotate the shute with one hand, need to get on the ladder and use two hands. Other reviewers mentioned using zip ties for the clips. It will defeat the purpose but may have to do that eventually and see how it helps. Rather than zip ties, I will use velcro bands for easy removal. Another issue, I have a Spalding Beast official hoop. The back side the rim is not same as the front. The clips keep popping off the back side of the rim. I also tried to attach the clips to the net hooks, rather than the rim as another reviewer suggested. But my net hooks are too small for the clips. Too bad, there's way too many things to improve with this product. I don't want to send it back, but I'm sure it will break down within a few weeks.

Works as expected.
As someone who plays basketball a lot, I wanted something to help work on my consistency of a made shot and this does just that. I've owned this for a week and due to snow have only used it 4 days, I have already been able to notice better shooting off a made shot. The ball does come back to you regardless of where you're shooting, if it be FT line, mid range or a 3 pointer from any spot, corner, top of the arc or the wing. The only thing I wish is that it would come back off a 3 ball a bit faster but for what this is, it does the job well enough that you just may gave to bend down here and there to pick the basketball up if it has slowed down to a soft dribble or roll. Also with it being a 360° swivel, the more shots you make the more it will want to shift it's return direction here and there. Overall though I have been extremely pleased with it's performance. $40 is a lot but when you compare it to any of your other basketball return options, it's relatively cheap. Definitely reccomend this item to an player looking to improve their game. I will update this review of something changes with it's durability.
