GARDENA (36918) Female Threads Garden Hose Connector with Water Stop

I love the Gardena quick release system. Works perfect with my Gardena hose reel. There is a fitting for every purpose and I have a whole collection of them. Makes garden life much easier. Only complaint, a little pricy.

I've got a bunch of Quick-Snap in ground sprinklers that just have quick connects on them (so you don't have to run pipes to have a sprinkler system... just move your hose around). With that in mind, I have 7 hoses I run around and connect to various sprinklers all the time. These are the only ones I've found that never leak, are easy to connect up, feel sturdy, and are actually easy to remove. A lot of these adapters get stuck on there and are difficult to get off, but not these. Lastly, they stop the flow of water when disconnected, so I don't have to go back to the faucet, turn it off, disconnect it, reconnect it to the next sprinkler, then turn the water back on... you just disconnect and reconnect at the next one.

This is an excellent connector from my faucet to any Gardena quick-release garden equipment. I am using it with the Gardena sprayer. It is very easy to remove the sprayer from this connector. Unlike some garden equipment that has problems with water likeage, this connector does not leak and performs exactly as described by the manufacturer. I am gld I bought this Gardena connector.

I have come to love all of Gardena's products. You can save a few dollars with other brands but they seldom ever perform as well as Gardena. The connectors make connecting and disconnecting hoses really quick and easy. I have a quick connector on each and every hose bib/faucet. I have a quick connector at the end of every hose. I have a quick connector on every hose end sprinkler. They last and last and continue to perform. You just can't beat Gardena...

I have come to the conclusion that NO watering system including Gardena makes a functional water stop connection for watering accessories. Once an accessory is released, it is impossible to get another to connect until the faucet is shut off - which defeats the purpose of the accessory connection. Don't know which is at fault - the connection or the adapter. I'm tired of leaks & excuses. And, I regret that I invested what I did in Gardena and reinvested hoping I could resolve this. While I was busy trying to resolve this problem, the return window ran out. If you are inclined to buy Gardena, think twice and buy the cheapest wanna be instead.

Gardena hose fittings work well and last a long time. I have been using some for over twenty years and they are just starting to go. One thing to beware of is that these fitting are directional and "on-way fit". If you use a male fitting on an attachment like a nozzle, all sections of hose in that line must end in a male nozzle. If you have several hoses, it is much more convenient to buy the specific fittings you need rather than starting kits. Gardena fitting cost twice as much as other brands, but last five times as long.

Works perfectly. Really really useful as I can now just pull on and the connection comes off. No more fighting with the hose to unscrew it.

Started using this product line when they first came out and have never looked backed. This disconnect unit is the first one we have had to replace in 10 years and we are big gardening people.
