RCBS UPM Measure Small Cylinder Assy

Being reloading 45C and 44Mag with the "standard" large cylinder and wasn't able to keep a consistent throw, had to use the tickler extensively, several turns.Received, degreased, installed and started loading 44Spl and being able to keep very consistent throws (at least of my liking). I'm not sure if the baffle I got with the small cylinder is really making a difference, but now, the Uniflow with the baffle and small cylinder, and for my needs (45C, 44Spl, 44Mag and 45ACP) is working very well, most trows does not require addition of powder from the tickler and when needed, just a touch (less than 1/2 turn) will be enough using 2400 and Blue Dot. So far, I will continue weighting all loads with my 505 until I feel confident.I'm pleased with the small cylinder + baffle considering my very limited experience.I don't see the need for two powder measures as changing cylinders is non issue for me.Pictures are of my 505 setup that I didn't invent but copied from other users at youtube.

Works great, wish I had bought it years ago. For years i used his powder measure for all kinds of loads from 380ACP to 30-06. It was always difficult to get the exact load on the smaller calibers. now with this and the Mic adjustment measuring small loads is a breeze.

I actually had difficulty getting my hands on one of these. My local gun store hasn't been able to get them for months, big box stores weren't remotely helpful, and even my favorite website was on backorder.Once I got it, I was not disappointed. Throws accurate loads consistently, and I don't even switch between this and the larger rifle specific one.A few notes.1) Installing and using it for the first time is a bit tricky. Tolerances are so tight that it tends to get a little stuck. A combination of finesse and brute force will be required.2) The numbers on mean nothing specific, they're just for reference.Extremely well made, accurate, and would definitely recommend for anybody who owns an RCBS Powder Measure.

The small cylinder works so much better for pistol loads than the large one does. I wish RCBS would give you a choice when buying the powder measure to start with. It throws consistently accurate charges over and over. It makes reloading my 9mm so easy. The large cylinder never seemed to keep any kind of consistency at low loads. I guess that should be expected as it was meant for larger loads.

RCBS quality, close fitting as expected. Honestly the large cylinder does an excellent job dropping 2.5 grain of flake powder. I'm loading 380 ACP now so I decided to go with the small cylinder. I never even tried the large cylinder at 1.5 grain only because the adjustments were small and hard to set. I never had consistency issues.

Bought this smaller powder measure for my rcbs powder measure, it is rated for a smaller powder measure for .5 grain to 105 grain I believe-

They should come with this cylinder as most bullets do not require large powder charges. Now my drop measure is much more accurate at charges less than 10 gns.

Perfect for pistol caliber.
