For us the other major one doesn’t last as long with use and seems to always have an expiration date within a year or so, whereas these consistently function more reliably and for longer time frame. Of course there are also generics which are hit or miss. I’m not sure where best to store so I store in a simple closet. As a side the silver color easily seen amongst gift wrapping, boxes, etc as compared to the black with a little gold of the other major brand. The price is usually somewhat lower too.

I have used energizer batteries for years, however I don’t understand the expiration dates on them. When ordering on line, I know there is no control. Some batteries last longer than others? I look for deals as the price can truly vary. Quality can vary but if you find a deal you’ll do ok. It’s good to keep track when changing batteries how long they last. Size is consistent. I’ve had a couple that are damage - almost like they may have exploded. Some seem to have more power (I use a lot for led candles.). So I’ll put batteries in identical candles and oddly there will be different levels of glow. On line it’s recommended to use Energizer over other batteries for items like this. I will continue to use as long as I get good deals.

What came in different packing this time but that again it's on me. I didn't see it. Usually it comes in plastic and actually I prefer this type of packing. Battery life for energizers decent. I would say Duracell is better, yet. Is more expensive so I I flip back and forth between Duracell and Energizer. The course is the size I ordered. And I like that they're in cardboard. We have too much plastic in this world
