Great gag gift
Gave it as a gift, yes a gag gift. and it went over great. It is now sitting on his desk at the car dealers.

Serves no purpose, but funny as can be.
Pointless, useless, but hilarious when someone hits the switch. Then they have to do it several more times.

This is so cool! Even though I bought is as a gift, it works so PERFECTLY and is so FUN to play with and show off that I really don't want to give it as a gift! Hmmmm....maybe I'll get another!

It works but get your finger out of the way.
I received the Useless Box in good condition. Put the batteries in, closed it up, flipped the switch and the lever came out so fast there wasn't enough time to get my finger out of the way and if you blinked you would miss what happened. A little disappointing as you would think there would be a slight delay and the movement would be slow enough for you to see what's happening instead of getting your finger hit (this was reason for 4 out of 5 stars). I've included a video so you can see it in action. The box is good quality and was packed well. The battery holder and workings are solid. For the price I paid it was a good value and it did work.

Best gift ever
The most useless thing I ever bought…but everyone, and I mean everyone touches the button. Put it on the counter at my work and not a finger goes by without seeing what’s in this lil useless box….im still laughing! Best gift ever

Silly, but in a good way
Gave this to my son at Christmas. Yes, it is genuinely useless - you can't even put anything in the box. But it's fun and that's the point. May send one to my father-in-law next year. A retired engineer, he'll probably spend an hour trying to figure out its purpose.

May Have Problems Getting It To Work
With new batteries it did not work at first. I had to wiggle wires and battery case. After several attempts I finally got it to work. Do not know how long it will continue to work. Seems to be intermitant.

Just a lot of fun!
It’s a great knickknack for any house. I didn’t buy this as a gift like many others did. I bought it as a knickknack that my nieces could play with the video says it all. Had a little bit of trouble getting it to work once I put in the AAA batteries, but I just pulled on the mechanism a little bit and it started to work perfectly.

just what i wanted the battery box is well placed and easy to access unlike many others there is no need to disassemble it to change battery
