I wasn’t sure whether i have to buy these hooks because I didn’t see many reviews on them. Honestly, i Never regret that i bought these hooks, these hooks are the best types for all types of fishes, especially Carp, catfish, and sheephead. When this type of hooks get the fish bite it, I wouldn’t let it out, because it is curved. OnceThe hook in the fish mouth, it is 100% you get the fish and The fish would’t be able to release itself back to the river

You usually hear about circle hooks as gear for catfish or stripers or pike or oceanic big game, but the small sizes work great under a bobber at the bluegill pond. Whether you're after a stringer of keeper-sized 'gills or just a fun afternoon with the kids, small circle hooks (size 10 or 12) catch fish at least as reliably as traditional J-shaped Aberdeen hooks, with far fewer fish hooked in the guts or gills. Here's the problem with J-hooks. Sunfish can easily strip the bait off a big hook without getting caught, while they're prone to swallowing small ones and getting deeply hooked. Circle hooks, on the other hand, are designed to slide out of a fish's gullet without digging in, so they reliably hook the fish in the jaw instead. (In theory-- more in a bit.) You can have it both ways-- you can use small, nibble-resistant hooks without losing all of them in the guts of your catch. As an added benefit, they set themselves under light tension, whether from the fisherman reeling it in or from the fish pulling away. I used size 10 hooks with red worms under a slip bobber, and they worked well if not quite miraculously. Most bites ended with a capture, and I never lost my whole worm to the nibblers. Most of the fish I caught, from lovely eight- to nine-inchers in breeding coloration to two-inch fingerlings, were hooked cleanly in the jaw. I went home with a full stringer and a smile. Sad to say, bluegill gullets do have enough, um, topography to catch a circle hook-- though I didn't gut- or gill-hook a single one, I did hook several in the soft flesh at the top of the the throat cavity. For what it's worth, whenever I resorted to forcing the hooks out, the turned-in points worked their way out of the fish's tissue rather than deeper in, resulting in a scratch rather than a deep tear. It seemed less traumatic and injurious than leaving the hook embedded. The fish on my stringer, some of which I throat-hooked, seemed to stay livelier than the ones I've caught on J-hooks, so I definitely think they're gentler on the fish even if they don't hook in the jaw. You can minimize, though not prevent, deep hookings by reeling in slowly while the bobber twitches-- just keep it slow, don't jerk it like you're setting a J-hook. Circle hooks need to replace Aberdeens as default panfish tackle. They're gentler on the fish, they save you the hassle of constant re-baiting, and you don't have to worry about perfect hookset technique. Happy fishing!

Los utilizo mucho para la pesca tipo "captura y suelta", ya que la forma que tiene evita que el pescado se trague el anzuelo, y solo se engancha de la orilla de la boca.

These hooks are my favorite hooks for catfish. The value can't be beat for the quality of this hook. I have been using these for a decade and have never straightened a hook out. I've gotten snagged and used 80lb line to rip large, heavy branches out of the water. I always get my gear back. The hooks are sharp. When fishing from the bottom they always find their way to the corner of the fishes mouth and when suspending live bluegill the hooks have penetrated the roof of the mouth with no problem. I can't say enought good things about these hooks. Give them a try with a strong knot and quality gear. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
