Question 1

Hazard lights doesn’t seem to work correctly when I press the breaks. Any idea why and is there another product that could help with this?

Accepted Answer

There's an existing review of this unit that complains about the same hazards problem.

This is a very inexpensive, "passive" unit. It does not have the capability to handle certain electrical systems and loads. I would recommend to anybody that use a quality "active" unit like the Hopkins 48925. For all the work of installing these things, it's really worth the extra money to get something better.

Question 2

I want to use this on the taillight if my jeep to install led. i need to combine the brake and turn into the led unit. can i use 1 for each side?

Accepted Answer

Dratz – This item would not work with LED lights. We would also need the specific application, to know what to recommend. I would recommend calling and speaking to a member of our product support team. Call 800-835-0129,, we are available Monday thru Friday, 8a-5p CST. Thanks.

Question 3

what color wire is the parking lights

Accepted Answer

You can check out the Hopkins website for full installation instructions. The parking/tail light wire is Brown. White is Ground, Green is Right Turn and Yellow is Left Turn. Red is for the brake lights. www.hopkinstowingsolutions.com

Question 4

How to make this work with leds?

Accepted Answer

You need to wire in a resistor in the circuit or replace the flasher with one designed for leds. I have mine wired in normally which still works but the turn signals flash faster than normal which I just live with. Do a search on some motorcycle forums that is how I came up with mine.
