R16 Wireless Bluetooth PTT Button for Android Low Energy Samsung Galaxy iPhone iOS for Zello ZelloWork with Strap

Using this with Zello in my '08 Miata. I found that this little button fits best on my parking brake handle with the velcro band. Have not had the chance to try it "in the wild" yet but now that I was able to get it paired to the phone it looks to be very promising.My issue has to do with the instructions for pairing this to my iPhone with 12.4.1 iOS. Following the instructions on the included paperwork led to an hour or so of complete frustration, working with the Amazon techs was no help either. We were all stumped as to why this didn't work after carefully following directions.Anyway, the solution was provided by NEXTAV via an e-mail. The double click solution worked perfectly the first time tried...the button is now paired with my iPhone & works as it should.The solution;"DOUBLE CLICKS=============In case you are trying to pair with your smart phone, and cannot see the Blue/Red blinks, please try to DOUBLE CLICK the PTT button, then you will see R16 switches from Blue blinks to Blue/Red blinks (for pairing). Now you are ready to pair R16 with your smart phone within your Zello App."Also sent was this iOS 13 warning;"Apple will release its iOS 13 update tomorrow (Thursday, September 19th). It is important you are aware of the effects it will have on the use of Zello.Zello recommends you do not update to iOS 13 until certain issues can be resolved."

Yeah battery life is not an issue here. These PTT buttons are a headache. I’ve gone through 4 of them because there the only android buttons that will connect with Zello.1) They don’t connect to your phone consistently. Even if I have my location services on, my Bluetooth on, no other device connected to my phone or Zillow, sometimes it will still not connect. I log out of Zillow, I restart my phone, I plug-in the PTT button and then unplug it and still it will not connect consistently.2) Make sure you don’t have any other Bluetooth headphones or PTT buttons connected to your phone or Zello before trying to connect this particular button. If you do, the button will not connect.3) Make sure your location services are on and obviously your Bluetooth is on or else it will not connect.4) make sure it is fully charged or else it will not connect.5) If the button is not utilized for a period of time it will automatically disconnect from Zello. In trying to reconnect to Zillow sometimes it will not reconnect.6) Sometimes the PTT button will connect to Zello on “pairing mode” (red & blue flickering lights) sometimes it will connect on “paired mode” (slow blue blinking light). It is not consistent and sometimes it won’t connect at together.7) I would suggest buying two buttons just in case one fails you have a back up to utilize for the day. Sometimes neither of them will connect however.8) I contacted the company and tried to inform them that they needed to update their software since there were so many connection issues but they either did not understand what I was saying or chose to ignore me.

This device works with Zello on Android 10 on my Samsung S10e. It even works when the screen is off. This device does not work with iOS. Zello won't even recognize it on iOS. I also tried this device on an older device with Android 4.2 and it did not work.
