These have only gotten better over time, with the clamping washers on current production pieces having a ridged surface for even better resistance to slipping out of adjustment.Overall fit & finish is excellent and sturdiness of the post and clamp mechanism is exceptional.Adjustment can be a bit fussy, but most infinitely adjustable clamping mechanisms are to some extent. Once you're used to the two bolt system, it's easy to securely adjust your saddle to the exact angle you want and to have that position hold indefinitely.Weight weenies will scoff at how heavy it is, but realistically it's light enough for most non-race builds and strong enough for any non-DH build ...which means that it gives excellent value and utility, especially for a mid-priced componentThis is a huge step up from "basic" alloy seat posts in every way: finish, durability, materials quality, adjustability and weight.

I bought this to replace the seat post on a Trek 920. I purchased a 920 with a small frame to reduce the standover height and found it difficult to adjust for proper leg length without having an excessively high seat height for me. Setting the seat back a further 1 inch made making the necessary adjustments possible and comfortable for me. Ritchey makes a quality product.
