These are not cheap. Took off a star for that. HOWEVER, as a product it seems to be excellent. Of course, since it just arrived a few days ago, don't know about durability. They provide an even light source. Some LED bulbs seem to have an annoying hot spot (glaring) generating the light. I have ordered 2 more. Definitely puts out as much (more?) than the 40 watt bulb it replaced. Like the small size for where it is being used. Edit - changed rating to 5 stars since this rating is about the product and not price. This does not seem to be made by any other mfr.

I replaced 5 40 watt incandescent bulbs in an arc light with a dimmer that we use often. Compared to the incandescent bulbs, these are the same color but brighter. Instead of using 200 watts, we are using only 20 watts. They do not make any hum and dim ok. They don't dim quite as well as the incandescent bulbs but that may be the nature of the beast. I haven't compared these LED bulbs to other brands and I don't know how long they will last. They are a bit pricey I know that we will make up the cost on our electric bill.

We have two ceiling mounted light fixtures that need globe shaped bulbs of this size and type. Although these are pricey compared to some of the other LED bulbs we've bought around the house, they deliver plenty of light and sip a lot less electricity. They look fine in the clear glass fixture and my wife was pleased that I bought them.

I purchased these bulbs in large part because they were to last a long time. I purchased 6 and as of today (18 months later), have had to replace 3 of them. They are in a bathroom which gets used about 2 hours maximum per day. They are too expensive to have to replace so often.

After a month one of the bulbs that I have been using in my living room just stopped working. Very disappointed with the quality considering the price.

This is a very good product. Well made, sturdy housing. I have four of these in an over-the-vanity bathroom fixture, supplying more that adequate light for any purpose. They have replaced (4) 40 watt incandescent bulbs that were constantly burning out due to overheating in the semi-enclosed fixture. The cutback to 5 watts per bulb should take care of this problem. The only minor negative with the Sunlite bulb is that it is slightly larger than the 40 watt incandescent, but that didn't make it much more difficult to install. The light output is actually slightly greater than the incandescent, making shaving or makeup at this vanity more pleasant. I highly recommend this product.

This lightbulb worked great just as I expected. I am very satisfied.

These worked perfectly in my RV, for a light fixture over the table. They are virtually the same size as the incandescent globe bulbs, and fit in the fixture nicely. Light output is probably better than the 40 watt bulbs they replaced, with the same color. I use the same bulbs but frosted in a bedroom fixture that is on a slide dimmer, and they work fine, just they will not dim quite as far down as the old bulbs.
