Skechers Men's DELSON-Antigo Oxfords

I am a little surprised how good these shoes are, they are not cheap so I probably shouldn't be but rarely these days do things live up to expectations. Firstly they look great, the leather looks like good leather is soft and supple. They are very comfortable from the off. The elasticated laces, despite my initials concerns on my first wear, are actually fine and i have never felt they were loose or would come off. I bought them for a trip to New York and walked an average 26k steps each day without issue. They still look like great and I've not had any issue with stones sticking in the tread as others mention in reviews. Overall I'd recommend and will keep an eye out for a second pair if they are ever on offer.

Second purchase, these were a staple dog walking shoe as fairly good water proofing, although not suitable for muddy ground as grip if nonexistent. Easy to slip on and off, very comfortable. Shoe of choice for New York visit at around 25-35000 steps a day - again grip can be an issue on wet surfaces. A jack of all trades shoe, well worth having a pair ready for any occasion.

I've had Sketcher trainers before; these are my first pair of shoes from the brand. The bottom line is that the existing elasticated 'laces' make them quite difficult to put on - I hasten to add that I don't have wide feet. The elastic isn't adjustable, so they can be considered as fully laced up/tied before you start, which is what makes them literally a pain to put on. I solved the issue with a sharp knife, cutting out the elastic and replacing it with a pair of actual laces. They are now exactly as I would have expected from Sketchers - light and comfortable. To be honest even though I really like them, due to the above circumstances I'm not sure if I would recommend these shoes as I'm sure not everyone would be happy taking a sharp knife to a brand new pair of shoes. It’s a great shoe with better grip than you’d imagine. I’d say they seem a little wider than a standard sizing. They come with elasticated laces that seem to have confused other reviewers who don’t seem to realise they can still be pulled tight. The laces can be swapped out if you don’t like them but personally I like the convenience and they always look smart. Can be dressed up or down. I got mine in winter and I’m impressed with the waterproofness and how well the leather holds up to taking a beating from the weather and the sand where I walk. Still feels cool and comfortable. Feels sturdy and well build but still comfy and flexible like a trainer. Perfect if your the kind of guy who doesn’t want to have lots of pairs of shoes

I bought my first pair of these Delson Antigo Oxfords in 2022. I am about to buy my 5th pair. Older pairs have been used for winter beach walks and other dirty terrain. I wouldn’t say that they are a serious walking/hiking shoe. They are waterproof up to the tongue but I wouldn’t rely on them as fully waterproof. They are lightweight and comfortable with discrete labelling. They are fine for most occasions but are not formal. They don’t look like scruffy trainers but I wouldn’t have named them’Oxfords’ I am a slightly narrow size (D) 11UK (12US), should you have a wide fit you may need to replace the “elasticated” laces with traditional tied laces. I hope Skechers keep making this model for quite some time. I guess that if they have made them since 2022, and still are making them, they must be a good seller.

I’ve been more than happy. I usually wear depending on weather Hey Dude shoes. I was looking for a similar light pair of shoes but sturdy and waterproof. Fulfilled my expectations. Yes the elastic laces are a pest you get used to that and quickly learn how to get them on easily. They are expensive but so far delighted and worth the money. As others have said you can cut the laces and replace with a normal pair.

Comfortable enough shoe, but I think it’s more of a Spring/ Winter shoe and, for me, it looks a little more old fashioned than I expected.

Super comfortable. Size true to chart. Quality waterproof shoe, easy to walk in all day, that’s also a dress shoe. Perfect.
