I have size 4 (37) uk wide feet with arthritis, osteoarthritis and tendonitis, what size would be best to order? Small or medium?

I have size 8 wide fit feet and I use a Large to give me firm but comfortable grip. My suggestion would be that you try a Medium

Can you wear in at night in bed

I would suggest that with most restrictive wear it is not the best thing to do to wear them in bed. I always take mine off and put them back on in the morning. You may get a better answer from the makers.

Measure the width of your foot and follow the sizing guide. They do not stretch a lot and fit tightly.

What shoe size is a medium

I am a 40 or a 7 and medium fits perfectly. I would say 42 or larger requires a large and 36 or smaller requires a small. And by the way, they really do support your feet. The difference is noticeable.
