PILOT Dr. Grip Ballpoint Ink Refills for Retractable Pens, Medium Point, Blue Ink, 2-Pack (77228)

I was first introduced to the Dr. Grip Ballpoint pens when I was in high school (I am now 37) and still use them to this day. The ink on these pens write smooth and do not smear when using. What I like most about these refills is that they are very easy to install, and the packaging is great as well for storing the second refill still in the package when you utilize the first one. With bad packaging, I could see someone losing the second refill very easily, forcing them to buy another package of 2. The refills last just as long as the initial pen ink that is provided when purchasing a Dr. Grip pen. On average I go through 1-2 refills in any given year, and I use this pen in my CPA practice every single day. No ink blotches, smears, mess, etc. Refill does its job. Only con I will give it (if you can even consider it a con) that the quality of the ink will continue until you are completely out, so you will get very little warning that you are running out of ink. It is great for this as the quality never falters, but its a potential ::con:: if you do not always have at a minimum, one refill at the ready because the ink comes out at 100% throughout the use, but once that ink is done, it stops in its tracks. Each time the ink dries out, when I see the unit, there is zero ink in it, does not dry out, and you get every last drop of ink within the unit. I would recommend this to any and all that use pens everyday, especially those that may have arthritis, as the Dr. Grip pen does help with those with pain in their hands to write a little better than the thinner pens.

They’re well made, but I guess I ordered the wrong ones because these refills don’t even come close to fitting in my pen. Entirely too small. But, my mistake, not a mistake on anyone else’s part.

I am a handwriting expert so I am very fussy about pens. I feel sorry when the ladies at the bank are forced to use skinny pens with the bank's logo. So I give them a Dr. Grip pen and two refills and they are so grateful!

package was torn open for me...I assume it was to test the refills before shipping them. if not then they are used. so far the one I am using is great, haven't needed the other one yet

It was really easy to replace the ink using the instructions provided. The ink is really practical for notetaking and everyday use. I love that it's affordable and eco friendly to keep my favorite pen forever and just replace the ink when I run out of a color.
