Hoopla Hippie Stick II Cruiser Complete Skateboard, 8-Inch

I picked this up while it was on sale for my 9 year old daughter. She's taken a shining to skating after watching her father. This is a sweet board. Nice concave, a big ole kick tail, and soft bushings make this board very maneuverable. The kick tail also offers more advanced riders the ability to throw down some tricks and Ollie over obstacles. The wheels are big and softer than street wheels which allows them to absorb vibration and roll over small debris like pebbles and twigs. The trucks are M-L (mini-logo). Don't let the generic name fool you. These are quality trucks made without gimmicks and flashy advertising by Powell/Peralta. The trucks are mounted with some thick risers to deter wheel bite. The board is very sturdy and should be appropriate for many ages and sizes. This would be a good college cruiser compared to some other cruisers because of its compact size. It's a few inches shorter than the average street board and about the same width. I don't consider the graphics or the paint colors overly feminine. The deck is pink under the graphics and grip tape, which only shows around the thin edge of the board. This Hoopla skateboard is made by S.O.C., which stands for Skate One Corporation. S.O.C. makes several skateboard brands, including Powell/Peralta mini, Positive, Hoopla, Mini-Logo, and Powell golden dragon. I have several Powell/Peralta set-ups with mini logo trucks and I can't say enough about the quality. I should add that even my 12 year old son likes the board. Pink is very popular amongst the boys these days.

such an awesome board. it rides extremely smoothly, no wheelbites, and very easy to maneuver. the trucks are not as stiff as i thought they would be and turn quite easily. loooove the raised tail, that was definitely a super bonus for me. the warranty is cool too. oh and the fact that there was a super sale at the time that i bought this was definitely the cherry on the top. this was my first board from hoopla and if i wasnt already impressed by the fact that this is a girl empowering skate brand, then the superior quality of the board has me sold. i highly recommend anyone and everyone to get this board. sk8r grrrls forever!

Solid beginners board for my daughter. The difference in quality from a big box board would be obvious to anyone with even minimal skating experience. The wheels roll well. The trucks are real alloy trucks unlike the plastic molded ones from big box store. No regrets, she loves it!

My daughter loves it, she says it has smoother cruising ride than the standard smaller harder wheels offer. She's also happy about the fact that it is designed for girls by girl skateboarders. Amazon prime delivery was delayed by two days and was a disappointment but the skate itself is great.

We got this as a present for my nearly 9 year old daughter. She rides it everywhere. It's very durable and seems to be a smooth ride. The design is really cool in person too. If you have a girl that wants to skateboard, this is a great wonderful board for them.

Great Board at a great price. highly recommend this skateboard. I paid $225 for my board and less than $30 for hers, and they ride the same!
