Q: How long does the brewing process take?

It depends on how much coffee you want to make and how often you check that the ice water is still dripping. I usually use about 30g of whole beans. Weighed before grind. I am able to fill the bottom 1 and a half to twice before it starts being to watered down. Usually takes a full day and over night to finish. But that is only because I forget to check the drip and it stops.

The proportion of water to coffee is what needs to be decided. You could try some experiments on the ratio and decide what ratio you like best. To start 1coffee/4parts water will set you off.
