I’ve used several different brands of brayers, but this is my first Essdee. Used for linocuts. It’s leaps and bounds above any other Brayers that I have used. Very high quality, very even roller. Wish these were more readily available in the U. S. They should be available everywhere! Highly recommended.

Finally- an affordable brayer that evenly rolls ink. Yippee!

good flatness of rubber roller. Effective for spreading marking compound on surface plate. Convenient projection on back side of roller for resting with rubber side up after spreading the compound. Produces an even thin coat on the surface plate.

Works fine but we realized after buying this product that we should have purchased a wider roller so that we could use this for other purposes. This is O.K for small jobs though.

Make sure you give it a wash with warm soapy water and let it dry before you use it first time to get the residue dust off of it. Then wash it straightaway each time you use it to stop colour staining it. You can dry it with kitchen paper for a quick dry and give it a few shakes if using in between colours. For alcohol inks use a cotton pad and at least 70% alcohol rub. Then give it a good wash in warm soapy water. Let it dry naturally.

Good quality brayer. Rolls smoothly, has a nice weight to it. I haven't used it in any art projects yet. Try getting someone rolling it on your back! Feels amazing. Can recommend for massage purposes alone. :-)
