IMPRESSED
Well I admit I am no rocket scientist nor a mechanic or body man. Fist tip don't let this stuff drip in your eyes, NOT GOOD. I used this on my rust bucket 2010 f150. I was impressed when I saw it sizzling on the rust, I assume etching. The directions said to rinse after use, and it looked white after rinse. I plan to buy 5 gal more for my other rust buckets..GOD BLESS EVERYONE FYI, I used a pump up sprayer to apply. FYI. Its thin not thick like a paint, which makes it great to spay with a pump sprayer and it will get into smaller tight places you cant get to with a brush.

Works. Extends the life of appliances.
This product works great. It was very easy to use. We used it on two appliances, including our cloths washing machine, and it worked well both times.

FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS
At time of this review Feb. 2020, There were errors in the Amazon product instructions . The application procedure is incorrect, along with the suggested wait time before rinsing it off . Also, There is wrong info. pertaining to Top coating with paint and the temperatures that are required when using !! These errors should be corrected on the listing soon . Read all of the instructions on the bottle and NOT the information stated within the Amazon product page. Call or email the company directly to ask if un-certain. I learned this the hard way. ** This product can be very finicky , and results will be compromised if instructions are not followed exactly.

It really converts the rust!
Please read the instructions first. I didn't, because I know everything. I didn't rinse it off and painted on top of it. I had to do it all over again. But it did convert the rust after I wire brushed it. After reading the directions, it works like a charm. I do recommend sanding, after wire brushing. I was painting old, rusty milk cans for decoration. Rust Off really worked, after I read how to do it right.

THIS IS A JOKE. NOT A RUST CONVERTER & DEFINITELY NOT A PRIMER!!! Please read.....
First off this bottle came leaking and leaked in my house. And trust me I have tried a few converters and this is not that. This is a watery brown liquid. Not milky. I tried this on a few things that were rusted. It did not convert any rust but it did leave behind some less than desirable results. Does not leave anything black and I definitely would not paint over it. If you have used it be sure to wash or clean your surfaces before paint.

Easy to use, but didn’t turn metal black looking like a primer coat.had to purchase spray primer and apply.

Fixes most rusty parts
I had rusty foot plates on my Jeep running boards. Most of the assembly was powder coated but the foot plates were just painted. After 3 years they were more rust than paint. I removed the loose paint with a putty knife and a wire brush and applied two coats of this product. After 24 hours of drying they were ready to paint. I painted the sealed surface with black matte paint and they look great. All indications are that it will be at least several years before I have to do this again.
