My TV started glitching out. They did a "repair" round and even though it didn't work out and I got a full refund in the end, they really did give it their best shot... a real repair guy showed up and they replaced real parts in the unit. Thank you so much for honoring the warranty and doing your best.

Get the plan.
My husband worked for an electronics retailer in his early 20s that sold service plans at a high markup and always told me they weren’t worth it. Thankfully I err on the side of being cautious. Plans have saved me countless times, bc electronics are not made to last anymore. Long gone are the days of Buy it For Life. This plan in particular saved me when my 2.5 year old beautiful tv started acting weird with the screen. 3 days later, I had a gift card for the exact amount that I paid for the tv to be applied to my Amazon account. I would have been happy if they tried to fix it but I guess it was unrepairable. Lucky for me the newest models of my tv just came out and I applied that gift card to a beautiful new tv that is to arrive next week. Thank you, Asurion!

Misleading Coverage, Denied Claims, and Zero Accountability
I purchased Asurion’s 4-Year Television Protection Plan expecting peace of mind. Instead, I got a masterclass in deflection and denial. My claim for a damaged TV, clearly covered under the advertised protection, was rejected based on vague exclusions never disclosed at point of sale. Their representative spent seconds viewing my claim before declaring it ineligible, citing “damage type not covered,” despite no misuse and clear documentation. Attempts to escalate were met with scripted responses and circular logic. Asurion’s process feels engineered to frustrate and deflect rather than resolve. The advertised coverage is misleading, and their refusal to honor the plan undermines consumer trust. And let’s talk about their above 4 star rating. Before I knew what I know now, I purchased dozens of Asurion plans and none of them have paid out. This is my third terrible experience with Asurion in a three year span, and I never left a review, until now. I suspect many others have fallen into a simular situation, which explains how they maintain a deceptively high score. Most people don’t bother unless they’re pushed to the edge, like me now. I’ve filed formal complaints and will continue to pursue accountability, but buyers beware: this plan offers more red tape than protection. This is a cell phone insurance company that makes millions deceiving people to believe they cover other items in the same way they cover cell phones. They do not.

Protection paid off!
I very rarely get the extended protection plans when I buy products but I’m sure glad that I did when I bought my 75 inch Samsung TV. All was well for the first couple of years of ownership and then the picture quality started to deteriorate. Put a call in, made a claim, and was extremely satisfied with the outcome. This protection plan made me whole, which is all I ever asked for. Definitely worth it and I’d definitely recommend.

Fully refunded- well worth it.
75inch tv just stopped working 3yrs after purchasing and i was fully refunded with gift card. Would have given 5 stars, but it took two repair visits to realize it wasn’t fixable. Definitely worth buying this insurance!!!
