The best sand for aquariums! I bought the other more expensive brands, and one of them was so dusty in the tank that it never cleared up in a month, and I pulled it out and tossed it, and put this in! Then I put this sand in all of my tanks. I've used gravel for 30 years of fishkeeping, but switching to sand has given me new stuff to learn and makes lots of fish happier! My African cichlids spit this stuff at each other! I rinsed it thoroughly, but found little debris and it sinks and stays there, not dusting the aquarium! The color is the same white/beige color of the sand in the small bags, only this stuff costs 1/4 as much! I was hesistant to try it, but the facebook fish groups all said to try this and I'm glad that I did!

This is the perfect sand for your filter. I had been battling my pool for weeks. I purchased this and the pool was crystal crystal clear in a day. The quality is superb, no need to sift out gravel and it gets the job done. It’s the perfect size to fill my filter and will last me a very long time. Thanks for saving my sanity 😊

We use this sand for our many aquariums! Works great! We rinse first through a large screen sieve.

Purchased for use in aquarium. Sand is not pure white, kinda off white with some black grains in it. Definitely need to wash or rinse before use as it has lots of dust to it. Other then that it’s good sand for the price.

Update- 8/18/25- I wound up replacing the Bestway pump with another brand with a stronger pump and greater GPM flow rate after it crapped out on me. I stuck with this sand and it cleared the algae that had built up after a big storm within hours! This sand is still a winner and well worth the price since I’m not spending it on pool chemicals anymore! It’s a time saver and gives you more time to actually enjoy your pool! I had replaced the sand in my filter twice and the beginning of the summer after taking the whole system apart to flush it. I bought this brand as my last hope before having to purchase a new pump and quickly figured out it wasn't the pump, it was the other so called quality filter sand that was garbage! It cleared the algae bloom within 24 hours in my 6000 gallon above ground salt water pool. No more worrying about the pump burning up and it has been working very nicely with my salt water chlorinator after using this medium. I haven’t had to change the sand since putting this brand in and the pool remains sparkling clean! Seriously- spend the money to avoid the hassle of trying to correct a green or black algae bloom, it’s worth it in the long run!

This is really effective filter sand. I use it in my Intex sand filter and it does a great job. One bag was plenty to fill up the filter and lasted for several years. It was probably still good, but I went ahead and just replaced it so it will be fresh and ready for when I open the pool next season.
