Mom didn't know these kinds of bells existed online and were anything reliable, but this product met her needs perfectly and I am sure will be used for many years to come. My dad very rarely expects packages or visitors, but, having his office on the first floor of the house means that he has to deal with mom's online deliveries on the regular. Mom often doesn't hear the bell from her upstairs space, so, naturally, dad is the one to sort and bring her the packages. Recently I mentioned that my mom can get an external bell and her understandable worries were: Won't the battery die out in a month? Is it loud enough? I showed her that other reviewers on this product were using the bell for a year or longer without an issue. As for the volume... it ended up being quite loud! But, you know what my mom didn't expect? The volume control! So, she set it to a more comfortable, lower volume. If she will be busy in the kitchen, however, she can set it to the higher volume as she pleases. It's a single button on the speaker's size. Very convenient. The installation process was very easy, we decided to start with the tape method before dad finds time to screw in the new bell, but I attached the items included for the screw-in installation. The speaker, of course, simply plugs into the outlet. It really is straight-forward and simple, I didn't even consult the instruction manual for this. So, as a result, we have a happy mom who knows when her packages are left at the door. We also have a happy dad who doesn't have to wake up to the bell when he sleeps in or notify mom every time she gets her stuff delivered. All of that for a very affordable price. Very satisfied with the purchase!

So it is super easy to install. You just stick the button part somewhere outside, I put it on our vinyl screen door, and plug in the sound making part in an outlet somewhere indoors. I have an outlet next to the door so I cannot speak to the range the signal, but our door is thick and the signal connects. The button outside has been on for a few months now and is still very secure, good adhesion. It's been down below freezing quite a bit, but I won't know how it does in heat for a few months of course. Our porch provides shelter so I dont know how it does with wet. I adjusted the volume control when I put it in, pretty basic, dunno why they want me to mention it. We have a ranch and you can hear the bell in our back bedroom no problem, but it is easy to miss if you are in the basement and not listening for it. There are many tunes to select from, the only annoying thing is having to cycle thru all of them to go back to the one you want. I chose a traditional dingy sound, so if cutesy ring tones annoy you, dont worry. This was totally worth it and way cheaper than having an electrician come out and work on the hard wire system.

I absolutely loved all the variety this thing came with for ringtones!! I used it until I didn't have a need for it anymore. The button can also be removed from outside in the event you don't want anyone ringing it.

Le volume ajustable du son est très pratique. Aussitôt connecté, aussitôt fonctionnel. Très facile à installer. Il ne me reste plus qu'à la visser sur la porte dehors. J'espère que ça va durer avec les températures du Québec. 16 mars: Fixer à l'extérieur et toujours fonctionnelle même à des températures hivernales de -20 à -30 degré (neige et pluie également). Très pratique j'adore!
