This is a great way to have black licorice, because the other ingredients balance it out well - both in flavor and texture. Black licorice has to be eaten in moderation, so this is a good way to lower consumption with the candy that's wrapped around it (or inside of it). When the second ingredient listed is treacle (molasses), that's a good sign. It's fairly low sugar compared with many other treats. I especially love the circular ones, where I can enjoy the way the coconut influences the texture. It also has coconut oil and gelatin, which are actually good for my aging body (also, you'll want to take note of that if you're avoiding animal products). Natural colors and flavors are always a good thing. Freshness - very fresh. Quality - kept me coming back for more! Size - best one for the money, like all things in bulk. Chewability - very pleasing, wonderful to chew. A little on the firm side, which I enjoy. Let me sum it up with the fact that I HAD to get more!! My only issue is that they are so good that I have to make sure to eat a protein bar first, so that I don't overindulge in them.

This is horrible. It is not real licorice. It burns my tongue, tastes like 90 percent sugar. I have been eating this kind of licorice for years, since I was small. It was my parents favorite. I am in my 70s now. This is NOT real licorice. The taste is so bad I wouldn't be surprised if it was rotten. Just terrible. It crumbles apart, where real licorice is chewy.

Yummy. A tiny bit too coconut-y but still very good. Nice and soft and a great price for the amount you receive. I will buy them again.

I've purchased these candies several times. I've never gotten a bag of candy that was "hard" or disgusting. They come in a very thick, heavy-duty sealed plastic bag. If people received really hard or stale candies, maybe it's an issue with the seller. Not the quality of the product. I agree, the price is too high. I don't like the bitter black, long, cylinder-shaped pieces of licorice all too generously added to the bags of candies. They are a bad contrast and differ from the licorice that is attached to the candy pieces. I might recommend to the candy manufacturer not to overwhelm the bag with so many of those bitter pieces. The coconut is chewy and sweet, and goes well with the licorice sandwiched between the colorful coconut slices, or stuck in the middle of a circular piece of candy. Other brands of candies of this sort do not come in 2-pound bags. They are just as pricey and in smaller quantities. I would give five stars if there weren't so many of those cylindrical, bitter pieces of licorice.

Arrived on time with no damage. I have ordered this product several times now. Each time they have been the same. Fresh, great tasting, licorice! The bag seals well. The licorice is a good mix of the different types, even my wife has started eating them! Other brands have been stale or contained too many plain black licorice pieces, this particular product does not! Highly recommended.

It makes me so sad to advise you against purchasing this candy. The first two bags I bought were so delicious. The candy was soft and chewable with wonderful flavors. The third bag I got was horrible. Everything was rock hard, most of it inedible. I was so disappointed. But then I got to thinking that had to be a fluke. Try again because the first two were so good. Well the fourth was not as bad as the third. It was hard and stale...

If you enjoy licorice, it's worth a buy. I especially like the assorted flavors and have purchased both the larger pieces and the minis. I prefer the minis for myself, as it helps me keep my serving smaller.

this stuff is crap dont buy hard and stuck togather two packages and all the same crap looks like it was on a shelf and the sun got to it both packages were bad and now i have to give it a rating just to send how rotten is that that crap doesnt rate even onme star
