Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Vol. 1

I love the anime and the manga seems really good so far, It's a bit different from the anime but is still really good and well written, if you are a Chazz Princeton fan you'd like the manga as he is portrayed as a 2nd main character as i've heard and seems like it so far. It's Really good book, Jaden uses the more newer version of Elemental HEROs and doesn't really use the anime deck cards, they got into a story of how jaden became the way he was with a backstory that brings out lovely emotions, and changed how jaden got winged kuriboh. It came in perfect condition and pretty fast. Again it's great and the arts wonderful, as well as a fresh intake of yugioh GX I added this message because people manly on the 2nd volume, people had thought it would come with a card (as yugioh books are known for including a card in their books ) and were upset when it did not come. For everyone who keeps saying they didn't get a free yugioh card! there is no card because this book isn't supposed to come with a card, if it did like the other yugioh books that do come with one, it would have a little circle on the front cover saying card inside! like in volume 8 and etc, Yugioh manga books of pretty much all the series do no include cards in their books til volume 3 or up Like yugioh zexal didn't start including cards til volume 3, Volume 5 of GX is the start point when they start including a free card! inside, I say this as I see alot of times people are disappointed because they think there's a card in there but no card shows up.

First of all, just to make things clear, I haven't watched the Yu-Gi-Oh GX Anime, So i am not aware of there are any changes between the anime and the manga. Now that that's out of the way, LIKE, I HAVE NEVER EVER EVER IMAGINED YUGIOH MANGAS ARE THIS GOOD? BRUH, THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST MANGA I'VE EVER READ!!! Suits all ages so don't worry, parents, it's ESPECIALLY good if you have a kid that isn't into reading that much… this might interest him/her!!! Follow me on goodreads for more reviews like this!

The GX manga is great! If you like the show, you'll love the manga! It has new characters and really delves deep into the existing character's pasts. Its an awesome parallel to the GX anime. The problem is just that I ordered this online, supposedly "new," and received a book with the card pack in the back cut out. It obviously wasn't new. I didn't mind it enough to send it back asking for a refund (the manga is too good lol), but it was really irritating. If you can, find it in a book store and if you you have to order online, I suggest getting it off the viz media shop (fulfilled by Amazon) where I got a copy of Vol. 4 still in the wrapping. Again, great book, just don't get it here.

As I said about the Yu-Gi-Oh! R manga, The GX manga is something which I can like and wish this were true with some other Anime/Manga adaptions where one would be the Alternate Story of the other, Since I only Bought the first volume of nine of GX I can't really tell of the story but the Manga seems to show the same kind of charm the GX anime had, so most likely some darkness will come around near the end I bet. P.S Due to how Old this Manga Release is, there might not be a card inside which some people will be only buying this to get the Promo Card Light and Darkness Dragon, well since of how old this book is in release terms, you might be getting a Second Run Print, which only the first Run Prints come with Cards, so.....don't complain when you just bought this and find out there is no card inside.

This series is very different to the yugioh GX tv anime in so many ways. But this makes this book in my opinion much better than the original GX and worth the read. Please if you get the chance give this book a read it is well worth the time I know I enjoyed it.

For as much as I love the gx anime. I've gotta say the manga is even better a lot more intense serious and mature. I definitely recommend you check it out if you haven't seen any especially if you're a fan of the gx anime like I am.

El manga es bueno. en este primer tomo no hay gran cosa excepto ver la re-imaginación de los personajes de la academia de duelo. Es en el tomo dos donde ya se pone mejor la trama. Compré este tomo sabiendo que fue publicado desde el 2007 y creí que ya estaría viejo pero en realidad era de la sexta impresión que salio a finales del 2016 lo que significa que estaba en muy buen estado. Recomendado para fans del Yugi o cualquiera que quiera un manga shonen leve. (y entienda un poco el juego de cartas)
