Perfect container for making limoncello, which I do regularly, and give away as gifts. Perfect size for the initial “sitting” period. This jar is of good quality with nice wide mouth, is airtight and easy to clean.

I bought this jar so that I could ferment kombucha. It has worked well for that purchase and is easy to clean and easy to see into while brewing. It is sturdy and the glass appears to be well-made. It even fell off the counter once and did not break, which was a great relief to me. The lid is metal and while I'm not using it while brewing, I like that it isn't a chemical-leaching plastic, which would make me sad. Great glass jar for making kombucha, I will likely order more in other sizes as well for different flavors.

This is absolutely perfect for brewing my Kombucha. It's a great price and a quality item. The jar is substantial but not so heavy that I struggle taking it down from a high shelf. It is easy to clean and I expect this will last a long time. I flavor my kombucha by removing the scoby and adding a home made fruit syrup directly to the jar, this has a wide enough lid where I can insert my whole hand and a 1 cup measuring cup easily. I will probably purchase a second one from the same seller when I decide to brew larger quality/ multiple batches at the same time.

Great, simple 1 gallon glass jar! Using it for water kiefer fermentation and so far it is working great! Includes a plastic lid which is helpful. Item came packaged well and in perfect condition. Would recommend for home fermentation products. I feel it is well priced for the jar and you don't have to worry about pickle residue tainting your newly fermented food. Pickle flavor water kiefer is not good! Also, not all glass is created equally, usda certification ensures nothing harmful will be leached into your food!

The jar itself is great. I mean, there's not much to review about a glass jar. It's thick enough. It's the gallon size I wanted. The opening is a good size. I use it for kombucha. It does what I want it to just great! The only thing is, and I've seen a lot of other reviewers say this, mine came with a cracked lid, too. Luckily, I don't really need the lid (I use a square of muslin to ferment the kombucha) , so I'm not that worried about it, but in the future if I wanted the jar for something else, I'd be kinda screwed.

As you can see in the picture, I have four of them on the left-hand side of my counter. I’ve had them for years. I use them to put my oatmeal pack in my Swiss Miss hot chocolate, and my hot apple cider, but you can use it for whatever you choose to use, but they’re very convenient. They don’t take much space on the counter and they look very decorative. And this glass container that I have on the right I’m gonna fill it up with some licorice or some type of candy. But you can fill it up with whatever you choose, but I just really love the size and the quantity that you can put into it in terms of candy or whatever you choose to put inside of it. It comes in very handy.

This glass jar is a perfect size for making cold brew coffee. The lid is secure and I appreciate the glass's ability to get squeaky clean.

I mistakenly bought 2 jars instead of one and was going to return it but saw that it cost about $8 for shipping it back and deterred from it since I'd basically be only getting a $2 refund for this huge jar so I just decided to keep it. But I'm SO glad I kept the second jar because I ended up getting an extra scoby from a seller! This jar is awesome though. Very thick and sturdy glass. I can already tell it's going to be perfect for fermentation. And it's even a great jar to store things like rice and dry beans. The jar is well worth $10.00.
