HICARER Quartz Pendulum Trigger Clock Movement Chime Music Box Complete Pendulum Clock Kit with 3 Pairs of Spades Fantasy Straight Clock Hands

Replaced a wall clock workings, it was so easy, and works very well.

I bought this little conversion kit for an Art Deco granddaughter clock which had long ago lost its original mechanical movement and clockwork chimes. Installation is simple enough. I didn't use the pendulum as it's not visible on my clock and it was fouling on the inside of the case. Fortunately there's a little clip that holds it out of the way and prevents it swinging if not needed. My clock has a rectangular face which is narrower across its width; this meant that I had to cut down the hands (easily done as they are thin metal). The straight ones worked well with the clock's geometric1930s aesthetic but there are also fancy Gothic style ones as well as a pair of simple 'spades', so something to fit most projects. For small mantel clocks etc, you may need to order smaller hands from elsewhere - I think the spindle is the standard Chinese fitting. The hands are reversible (black / silver) which is good as the face of my clock is mahogany and black hands wouldn't be easily visible. The banking plug for the second hand doesn't fit due to limited clearance when the glass front of the clock is closed. I may try adding another washer between the mech and the back of the dial to address this, as I dont like being able to see the while plastic shaft protruding. Setting up the chimes is a bit of a pain although the fact that the instructions are written in some of the most indecipherable Chinglish I've ever encountered doesn't help. Basically the mechanism and chime box are two separate units. The wire connection between them is a trigger - the clock mechanism clicks at the hour and tells the chime box to strike. There's no way for it to know how many times to strike - you have to set that up yourself by repeatedly pressing the botton on the back, advancing it by one hour each press until it corresponds with the time displayed by the hands. Try as I may, i haven't been able to get mine to strike the quarters. This is annoying, but not something worth returning the unit over. In short, it's a nice neat little solution that costs about half that of the others I've looked at (most of those have a wide selection of melodies including Ave Maria etc, but i only wanted Westminster chimes so this one suited me). The chime is a little tinny, even on a good solid wooden case - not as bad as a cheap door bell, but nowhere near as sweet and rich as a proper set of metal chime bars - and a bigger speaker / option to connect one would be nice, as would the ability to toggle night mode on or off. Better instructions would make a huge difference.

Clock mechanism keeps good time but the chime is crap sounds like a distorted big Ben every hour makes the dogs go nuts 🤪 just go for a mechanism on its own or pay the higher price for better quality.

Me llegó super rápido, muy bien empaquetado y parece ser que está funcionando, solamente que hay que darle con el modo en que se debe configurar para que de las los horas correctamente junto con el sistema mecánico.

It was very easy to sync the time to chimes you just need to read the direction. Works great and sounds even better.

Maquina de reloj con la esactitud del cuarzo, sustituye maquina mecanica de reloj grande de pared con soneria y pendulo lo tuve que sujetar con tornillos ya que la tuerca no pillaba la rosca del eje por poco, tampoco me valió el péndulo ya que rozaba en la caja de madera, como digo el reloj es muy grande dejo el pendulo antiguo y las pesas de adorno, instalarlo es fácil, una vez lo tienes bien sujeto en el centro del ahujero colocar las pilas en el altavoz de sonido y girar la manecillas (sin colocar todavía ) despacito hasta que suene entonces colocar la manecilla de las horas en las seis y la larga en las doce, ahora muévelo hasta las seis y cuarto, bien, toca resetear el altavoz presionar el boton y levantar cada vez que empiece a sonar, hacer esto hasta que en una de las presiones no sonará esa se corresponde con las diez de la noche seguir con las presiones hasta que empiece otra vez a sonar esa se corresponderá con las seis de la mañana y ya está, ponle la pila al reloj, ponlo en hora y listo tocara en cada hora.
