Used for METAR Map ProjectBased on a recommendation found in Amazon reviews, I gave this a try, it made absolutely perfect clean holes in a Map that had been adhered to Foam Board with Modge Podge and allowed to dry overnight.If other hole punches cannot reach deep enough into your project, this resolves that issue.Size depends entirely on you needs.It is not intended to be placed in a drill, but it has worked fine for me.The larger end goes in the drill, the narrow end is the sharp cutting side.It is hollow so most if not all of your scrap will collect in the hollow center and can be easily removed by pushing an object thru the shank.Place some type of sacrificial foam board or cardboard behind your project to protect the work surface as well not allow the cutter to dull on a hard surface.

With the straight sides I’ve chucked this in my drill press and it works great for those times you want to have a hole in a pad or book. Works great for those occasional times you want a hole in something too thick for a punch.

I used this in my drill to cut about a hundred holes in matboard for a METAR map project. Razor sharp (be careful) and works beautifully.

I used this to build a metarmap and while it worked good on the photo paper it had a hard time cutting cleanly through the cardboard. It also took a really long time for each cut. Not sure if that was my technique or an issue with the bit but was not the most impressed. At the end of the day it got the job done but wouldn’t recommend

Nothing much to say other than if you need to create a hole, tho will get the job done no problem.

I used this drill bit for putting 7mm holes in a sectional chart for a METAR map. Important to note this requires a drill with a large chuck. Be sure to dig out the debris after each hole or the bit could overheat and snap.The bit worked well for ~30 holes drilled and the map looks great because of it. Would recommend for a similar project.
