Beautiful design. The USA should finally learn what good childrens to university school and art supplies are and I wish they would make them available everywhere even in other little town stores instead of the low quality supplies we get in the USA....Crayola, Rose Art...Come on...Stokmar is for K through 110. The craftmanship and beauty of the supplies makes them a joy to use even when you are already past high school. You can get replacement blades for this double hole sharpener also.

Best pencil sharpener I’ve ever owned. I bought one last year. My daughter liked it so much she kept it for herself. So I’m buying a second one for me. Hahaha. I love it!

Updated. Item is great until blade replacement needed. Never sharpened as good as original blade. Destroyed many pencils. Could’ve been human error. Would be nice to have exact replacement blade from stockmar.

It is expensive. But I wish I had just bought this from the beginning instead of wasting money on several other sharpeners that were difficult to use or broke after a short time. The blades are replaceable. The entire thing is made of solid wood and metal so it will last. It’s the perfect size and shape for small hands (and adult hands, too). My 8 and 6 year old can sharpen with no help and my 2 year old can even do a pretty good job! It catches the shavings which makes it great for taking it in a backpack or in the car! Love it. Worth every penny.

handsome, light, effective, sturdy cutting. I write and sketch with pencils. I like the way they have their own little voice as I write, when sharp and edgy. This is the perfect tool for keeping them sharp. My only fear is each time I loan it to another - it may not come back. Simple, humble, lovely. Quality.

My child has fine motor delays, and the “My First” pencils help improve the grasp required to write. I got a box of 36 pencils for back to school and realized they were all UNSHARPENED. The pencils have a 13/32” diameter triangular shape, which makes it difficult to fit in standard plastic pencil sharpeners; the ones I had would tear up the pencil lead AND leave jagged rough edges on the wooden tip, which is not ideal. The same goes for the 11/32” diameter “Laddie” pencils. Is $20 the most I’ve spent on a hand held pencil sharpener? Yes. Is the stockmar pencil sharpener totally worth it because I skipped the frustration of poorly sharpened pencils? 100% Will I use this sharpener on color pencils for my stress relief coloring books and prized Blackwing pencils? Absolutely. Yes, you’re paying more but you’re getting some great German engineering, skipping the plastic and (hopefully) will get a long lasting product.

We have been using the KUM sharpener for 5 YEARS. Two years of Waldorf geometry and it got so dull and has always been so hard to use that I finally invested in this. GAME CHANGER FOLKS!! The pencils are ACTUALLY sharp and it’s practically effortless to do so. Absolute MUST-HAVE for Lyra Ferby triangle pencils!!

Bisher habe ich die Wachsmaler meiner Tochter mit einem Messer angespitzt. Jetzt wollte ich ihr ermöglichen das selber zu machen und dachte dass meine Suche nach einem geeigneten Anspitzer erledigt war. Die „große“ Öffnung ist so klein, dass der Wachsmaler gerade so hineinpasst, sich dann kaum drehen, geschweige denn sich tief genug versenken lässt! ...über €20,- fehlinvestiert: Suche geht also weiter.
