I live in Austin, TX and we're not well-known for having great tasting tap water. I bought these as a way to help reduce plastic use and to keep from having to go to the store constantly to refill the 5 gallon tanks. The binchotan are easy to use and takes no time at all to absorb the impurities that are in tap water. There is no residual tap water taste afterwards. It just tastes like purified bottled water. Excellent product!

I bought these because I travel a lot but am used to very clean tasting water at home and I’d rather not purchase bottled water everywhere. Basically you just drop it into water, wait a bit, and it tastes delicious! Exactly what I was looking for.

If you are patient and don't need it right away, these sticks are a good choice to filter your water. I have a 1.5-L carafe, roughly, and I use these sticks to filter the tap water to make it taste better. The sticks do not remove color though, so sometimes if the water is an off color after a storm, there's no help there. The taste is better. I use 2 sticks though, because 1 stick doesn't seem to do the trick. They last for 3 months though, and I keep them in my fridge as a deodorizer. They look cool. Boil every 2 weeks and reuse - easy.

I use a Brita pitcher and bought these to cut out the plastic that can’t be recycled. Mistake. While it does remove the taste of chlorine and whatever other chemicals are in my water the taste of charcoal is noticeable.

These look bigger in Amazon than the product. In truth these are "personal" water bottle size. Only 2" at best. Returning

I love this filter. It's a little more laborious than other filters but I really don't mind especially because I know I'm not producing more plastic waste. Taste of the water is very good.

J'utilise ces bâtons depuis une bonne année maintenant et ils améliorent vraiment la qualité de l'eau. Leur utilisation est facile, après 2-3 semaines je les fais bouillir 10 minutes pour les purifier comme demandé. Merveilleux!

Don't know if this really makes a difference. But Having them in my water jug makes me drink more water and that must be a good thing

Works and I like the lack of a taste for my tap water now.
