Wen delivers again! If your looking to engrave pretty much any material and not break the bank doing so I highly recommend this product. I read some reviews where people were having trouble getting the carbide tip to stay in the tool, it may be because they didn’t realize the tool comes with the set screw in already but they also provide a replacement screw. It is a little loud but it’s also a power tool so noise is expected. I’ve only used it to engrave about 10 things so far so I can’t speak on the durability but it seems well made. I’d definitely recommend this engraver

Once again, WEN has delivered a fantastic product. The WEN Engraver is exactly what I was hoping for. It’s easy to handle, lightweight, and comfortable to use, even for longer projects. Police say to put you drivers license number on stuff that may get stolen. They can look up your DL number but not SSN. Might be true so get to it. Easy to label things like jacks, electric tools, trailers, catalytic converters, et. al. Works well, like all of them the sound will make you skin crawl. Would be good to share with a friend/neighbor, since you do NOT want to label each socket and screwdriver.

This engraver is a solid product that works well at a great price. I needed it to overwrite engraving on some stereo equipment. I returned the first one I received because I thought the engraver tip would not lock in place with the provided screw. It turns out there was already a screw in the engraver that I needed to loosen to lock the tip. This was total user error. The engraver works just as it's supposed to. Just be aware that the screw in the package is a backup with the primary one already installed. I totally recommend this product.

I'm surprised, It works! I wanted a way to engrave jewelry when can't stamp it and add my signature to one of a kind pieces and it works great at least on silver, only material I tried. Also if you work with oxidation and patinas, you can create a motif/texture and it will show more than I thought. (Is Not as deep as acid work, etc. but is not bad. Use the stronger setting and engrave over and over for better results) Practice for a while on something like copper scrap until you get a hand on how it vibrates, how to move your hand and which kind of support is more comfortable. If you like super neat letters, it has a stencil, It is NOISY, but most of the things at my studio are anyway is more noisy than drills. I will try on other materials and if I can, add some pictures.

I contacted Wen regarding a couple of issues I have with this engraver, and with praise for the good owner's manual included with it. The support page on Wen's web site indicated I would get a response "in 1 to 5 business days". It's been two weeks now, and nothing. Really disappointing. So here's a warning: the ONE engraving tip included with this product wears down quickly when used on hard steel, like wrenches. It wouldn't kill Wen to include more nor to provide a product number for replacements. Fortunately, other manufacturers offer compatible tips. Plan on getting some if you intend to engrave hardened steel items. My engraver came with a chuck so stuffed with rusty steel shavings that it was impossible to insert the engraving tip all the way. Cleaning it out with a toothpick worked.

Vas très bien. Tout ceux qui mentionnent que la pointe du burin est difficile à installer. Attention. Il y a déjà une visse installé dans le mandrin. Donc avec la clé allen retirée la visse de retenue. Si non la pointe reste sortie. Il y a avec la clé allen une autre visse. Donc 2 visses 1 déjà en place et 1 en surplus.
