I therefore suggest that you subscribe to the replacement blades only, currently sold in a pack of 12, after your initial purchase. How does one load the blades into the holder?

You just push the sides in on the top of the razor & the blades click in. Bit tricky first time but easy once you know.

Do these fit a Gillette pro glide?

No its not compatible, i used the Gillette and this razor specific to the blade is just as good. Maybe a power type may be introduced later but not sure if it will make a difference. What ive done now is i bought the Handle /blade pack and then subscribed to the blade delivery scheme. Totally worry free. I recommend trying these blades.
