Is refresh classic similar to optive tears

refresh classic is the most neutral and user friendly version my wife can find. have not tried optive tears. other drops with preservatives seem to irritate eyes.

How many (approximate) drops per vile, and how is an open vile stored?

I get 6-8 drops per vial. The vial can be recapped, but you should only keep it for a day. It is mean to be disposed of after a day, because there are no preservatives in the drops. My eye doctor said I don't need to refrigerate the open vial, but to never keep it longer than 24 hours after it is opened.

Hello, can you tell me what the expiration date of this product is please?

Mine was purchased too long ago to be meaningful for you. I just purchased some recently from a local drugstore and the expiration date is June 2016. I think Pharmapacks was the online dealer that sold them. Maybe you could contact them directly to ask your question.

Is the liquid somewhat thick?

It is thicker than pure saline, but I would not call it thick. It seems to stay in my eyes longer than most eyedrops, if that is what you are wondering about.
