6-Inch 2-Jaw Gear Puller, Small Bearing & Pulley Removal Tool

I bought this to actually remove stuck windshield wipers. It works like a charm. Better than anything I tried, and I tried every other windshield wiper arm puller available and this thing is the only thing that actually worked.

Built very well. Managed to pull a 5-inch flywheel off a chainsaw that felt like it was welded in place! Used a ratchet to screw down until really tight, then tapped on the top end of the screw with a hammer, and BANG! - flywheel came loose! This puller has a hidden feature not mentioned by the seller - the little protrusions at each end of the bar are actually spring-loaded detents so the jaws won't slip off the ends of the bar until you're ready to remove them. This feature makes the cavity in the jaws just the right size so they won't cant one way or the other too much. I put a drop of motor oil on each button and pressed down several times so they are lubricated. Before using I lubricated the entire length of the screw as well as the bottom end with bearing grease and ran the screw back and forth a couple times to make sure the threads were as lubricated as possible. Worked great! :) Highly recommend this product as well as the seller - arrived in 48 hours.

Good find! Arrived as scheduled. Packaging was very nice. Item worked well but the tip of the extraction bolt dug into the steering column shaft. The tool flexed some while tightening. This is still a good for the price

I had a Toro blade holder which had jammed the shear key beyond 90 degrees from the slot. My 3 leg puller was a little tilted on the rectangular base and couldn't create full pulling force. I got this 2 leg pulled to keep things balanced and centered. Easy to set and it took granny bar abuse, too. The puller moved it and kept on pulling strong until done without stripping out or breaking. I highly recommend.

I tried to use this to remove a Dana 60 carrier bearing and it was probably too much tension for this tool. The legs just start to spread under load and it comes off. I feel this tool will be good for taking off transmission bearings on a manual trans overhaul, as the bearings won't be pressed on as tight.

Quality made product. Bought to pull the flywheel off a mower engine. Have other three jaw pullers but this mower had only two places to get a grip (starter hole and 180 across) without more tear down.

Got this to try and get newer gm pitman arms pulled off the gear. Most pitman pullers aren't wide enough. Since this was so cheap and went as wide as it did I figures I'd give it a shot. Have used for the purpose I intended it for and it worked which made me happy. Since then I have used it on other things that require a specific type of puller that this just happens to work for, most recently BMW control arm bushings. I am honestly impressed. Only downside is that since the hooks free float on the center bar getting everything lined up and centered can be a bit frustrating. Once it's in place tho.. I dig it.
