Rug Hooker's Companion

I believe that this will be one of my use and reuse books for rug hooking. It has great instruction on finishing off projects and the pictures and directions are "excellent". I am a very visual "crafter" and this book truely lives up to that standard. I would recommend this book.

I was hoping for more in depth info. Basics are there.

I was expecting more. When it talks of a color wheel and everything is black and white, it lower perception and intrerest quickly wains. Even though the price would have been more, she should have went for it. This author is a wellrespected teacher of the craft. Always, remember Donna, give your best all the time

This book is a great reference piece for new hookers. Excellent definitions in the chapters on types of rugs and dyeing. Experienced hookers may find little new information here. Done well with humor!

Everybody needs a basic guide for rug hooking. I enjoyed this and now can refer to it when needed. Otherwise, hard to find the basics.

This comprehensive guide addresses every aspect of rug hooking; very informative for anyone interested in this art, especially those who are just beginning to hook. Includes line drawings, recommended reading, suppliers of dyes, wools, and equipment, in an easy-to-understand writing style. Compact size makes for easy portability. Highly recommended!

I LOVE this book. It's so compact and easy to follow, giving me all the information I needed to complete my rug. Easy to read, no long uninteresting pages. It's small size is perfect.

from the picture I thought it was a magazine size book but it is very smallHad I known I would never had purchased it.

Laid out in dictionary format this book takes you through terms related to rug hooking. I give it three stars because I was looking for something more advanced. However, for what it is, it is a very nice little book, just the right size to tuck in your purse to take to rug camp or guild meetings.

It is clear and concise, just what a beginner needs. I have ordered several of them because I now give them to my beginner rug hookers in their bag of how-tos.

No dislikes. I loved the book. Down and to the point.

This would have been a good book for e.g. £8.99.But it certainly was a disappointment for £16.99.There were some good diagrams but overall, the book was far to short for that price.

A great book for both beginners & more experienced rug makers. It is precise & to the point & full of invaluable information. A great addition to my library.
