I learn by movement, so having this stencil to write my scores and uke tabs is a perfect way to become involved in the process of developing chord-melody music for my favorite songs. I carry with me to all my uke classes as well for ‘on the go’ tips from other artists in my tips & tricks notebook. Love it! So happy to have found this vendor…

I gave this to my granddaughter who is a music therapy major in college. This is what she said about it: "The template is useful for me because it keeps my handwriting cleaner on my homework and makes it a little easier for teachers to tell which line I meant to mark. It's fun to use and has any symbol that I would use in my work so I will be able to use it for all kinds of assignments :)"

This is great for kids but I'm a grandmother taking college music theory and would have liked smaller spaced lines so I could write more. Other than that I am quite pleased with this product .

I am an aspiring pianist who is studying music theory to become better at reading and writing music. I have terrible penmanship when it comes to drawing intricate notes for the music, like bass and tremble clef. This handy stencil solved my problems quickly and it is easy to use. Great deal for what it’s worth. I find that this is best for students practicing notes and actually writing notes. But the paper that came with it wasn’t the greatest. I tried using it and it felt rather poorly made.

Yes, people do still use paper music. And if I want to make some changes, it can be tedious to write out marks clearly. Obviously, I don't NEED one of these, but it will make it quicker and easier to make changes.

Music theory is harder than rocket science (think of Music Theory 210 as Mathematical Measure Theory and Music Theory 230 as Mathematical Manifold Theory). At its essence, music is spoken math except even people with no training know when you're wrong (in advanced math only other advanced math people know you're wrong). It requires special notations and the need to be precise so the result can be read and graded. This template will save many a music theory and composition student time, energy and aggravation while improving their grade (professors don't like to give you the benefit of the doubt when grading). My best advice is to use a .3mm mechanical pencil to correctly draw through the stencil. I thought I was buying just the stencil but it came with a pad of staff paper.

Just to let all people out there who uses music sheets at the stencil all crutches minions semiquavers are all too big they would fit on Music staff line if they were double the size item is no goodbye

Excellent tool for writing neat music manuscript

This is super cool. The template is bigger then I expected and plastic. Not as thick as I would have liked as I worry about breaking it. But very cool. It comes with a notepad of staff paper as well which is handy for learning to use it.

The concept of having a convenient stationary tool like this for writing down sheet music is an intriguing one, but unfortunately the idea doesn't work well in action. Not to mention that this tool is extremely thin and light and prone to breaking easy. I should know. My product arrived broken on the bottom right. The sheet music is high quality and really nice, but the composer template tool is not good or practical and will most likely break easily. You're better off with a small ruler and protractor. Better yet, get a geometry set instead.
